  1. In SS, right-click your track, select preferences - file info.
  2. Your audio won't skip your soundcard unless you use Total Recorder. All SB Live users should remember this because emuk based hardware resamples all audio to 48 kHz and if you try to record your creations as 44. kz, you'll end up having a signal which has gone through two sample rate conversons.
  3. You can see a track's file name by right-clicking its name in SS and then selecting preferences - file info.
  4. Your only option is to connect your player's line-out to your computer's line-in.
  5. Hi-MD can only upload recordings which have been made in Hi-MD mode. So if you have recorded using an older player, you can't upload it.
  6. His program reads audio data in small (<1 min) chunks.
  7. At least my copy of TMPGEnc can only extract the first minute eventhough the file appears to be of the correct length.

  9. Your md's read head needs to "search" before it can start playing a new track. (""s like in Austin Powers)
  10. You can transfer your recording to your computer using SS and then convert the recording to wav file using Total Recorder.

    Sonic Stage 2.2

It is a directshow filter which is used by himdrenderer.
  12. You can convert your recording to standard .wav files using Total Recorder (in realtime) or himdrenderer (faster than realtime, experimental, sound quality problems).

    Sonic Stage 2.2

I just upgraded to SS 2.2 and can't anymore find sony wav rendere. Maybe I have unregistered by myself earlier or maybe SS 2.2 removed wave renderer.

    Sonic Stage 2.2

Sure it is SS 2.2. See http://www.connect.com/download.html
  15. Is it possible to use Total Recorder method for tracks recorded from digital sources?
  16. Download sonic stage from connect.com
  17. You can download Sonic Stage from connect.com and test it yourself.
  18. It is likely that Total Recorder preserves the original waveform better than himdrenderer because himdrenderer adds pops and clicks etc. which aren't in the original source.
  19. Of course you can remove them, but then you'll lose your files forever if you don't first convert them to .oma files.
  20. No. If you want to get rid of .omg files, you need to use SS File conversion tool to convert them to .oma.
  21. You can use SonicStage's Backup tool and zip the backup folder and send it to your friend. The thing is that restoring a backup copy to your friends computer will result in your friend losing his SS music library.
  22. That is likely to be the black version of mz-nh900.
  23. TRudoplhi, You should use Lame's presets instead of just giving it a bitrate. See http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....p?showtopic=203 and http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....showtopic=18091
