The slider (song position) is off. Ie you can reach the end, but the song will keep going for at least another 20 seconds.

RH10 is not plastic totally, but some form of Magnesium, judging from what people have reported.
-
SP = 80 minutes on a disc. LP2 = 160 minutes on a disc. Provided the media is an 80 one.
-
Yes, I was actually thinking of SP.
-
Outsourced to a different company, for example, to a Chinese one for them to make it. Does that make sense?
-
No.
-
As long as the 2nd gen units are not outsourced, then that's ok in my book.
-
Funny how 10 year old tech (Type-R) is still the pride of md lol. Just shows how good is was then.
-
Damn, I have the Sony Sports Boombox (like the MZS1), but no Atrac support. Come to think of it, mp3 support ain't that amazing either lol.
-
MDLP and SP are bracketed together by SS, so if MDLP works then should do SP (not sure about mono though). Plus the SP = LP2 quality wise in NetMD.
-
http://www.minidisct.com/forum/showthread....gacy#post298121 This user says it allows creation of MDLP discs using SonicStage. Anyone else with the 2nd gen to check it out?
-
Hmm, I am sure I read somewhere that NetMD is still available with the 2nd gen. Will try to find it.

Judeclaw, Do you know the upto date bitrates for Sky Digital radio channels? Thanks EDIT: It appears FreeView = Sky is most cases (Sky has higher bitrate on some stations). Now the £1 question: What would you recommend: Good FM reception vs Digital Mp2 192kbps through analogue out?
-
4. New models do allow this.
-
Thanks for the response. It seems Sky does have more channels but the ones I listen to are on Freeview as well. Remember seeing the Sky bitrates all to be in pretty good range (192-256), would be good if FreeView had the same ones.
-
I wonder if this is the "cost-cutting" Mr Stringer was talking about.
-
Just to make sure, does FreeView offer all the same radio channels as Sky (and same bitrate)?
-
That must mean that none of the 2nd gen are made in Japan
-
Yeah, seems like the DH10P is the follow-up to the NH1 even though it is completely different. Did you get to make out where the unit was made? Thanks
-
May I ask you if your bought your unit in Japan? Because that would indicate to me at least, that "Made in Japan" is only for DH10P. Thanks. Edit: DH10P is made in Malaysia as well.
-
Except that NH1/NH900 can record in SP/MDLP mode, while the RH10 etc cannot.
-
That's right. No SP rec. I reckon this was some kind of strategy to give meaning for 1st gen HiMD devices (sort of inbetween models).
-
Not unless you like the sound characteristics of Sony codecs (and some do). No. Storing radio programs in PCM is a waste of space, record in PCM only if you are thinking of converting that PCM to a lossy format of your choice (Mp3, AAC etc).
-
I don't know about SP. I mean, why did they introduce Atrac3Plus 256 instead of Atrac 292?
