  1. listening to my latest "catch" on VH1; (U2 in Sidney - Zoo/Tv); the audio sucks until Bullet the Blue Sky, then the audio-guy/gal came back from the p** break. what's the song after Bullet... and before Where the streets have no name? I found One Lemon in Angel of Harlem Where the streets have no name, on Newyears day!
  2. listening to Joni Mitchell on VH-1 Classic *as i am recording it*; gee, as much as i used to HATE folk music; she is "Good". almost as good a Josi Vachon from Canada; whom i've performed on the same stage with here in RI (USA), and, have backed her up a couple of times. (long story, don't ask). i don't know which one is better; will any Canadians answer that?
  3. Happy BD to all,, and to all a good night!!
  4. i have a JE520 that doesn't ejects OFTEN;; but all i do is disconnect the power chord;; and plug it back in immediately.. then the "TOC" flashes and the the text appears;; then,, i eject the disc;; which has all it's music in tact.. it does this in a cycle;; i assume;; about once every 10 or 15 times.. i own MUCHO more units and none of them do it;; but some have other small problems..
  5. i (rayzray) have a very noticable "bump" on one of my two 900's ,, and,, no bump on the other, but, it has a small (depression) instead. i bought them from the same place only a month of two apart.
  6. yeah; tail's the word; like, i must have been a nerddy "Local Rock Star"; i ALWAYS thought playing gigs was about making spending money; and dreaming of becoming a BIG star. it NEVER occured to me that "Tail" was included. i NEVERE cheated, but ended up with 3 wives!!!! now my "X"'s are my best friends. oh, i am listening to Judas Priest's DVD and LOVE it; i LOVE the TWO "Lead" guitars; like Lead guitar I, and Lead guitar II. like a high school band/orchestra. i did 6 songs and had to give it up; my wife is whining about "The Noise"; lol..!!
  7. Judas Priest ; i (rayzray) used to wear the "Leather" off stage; waist up; sans spikes tho! LATE EDIT] i liked the Judas Priest special on Vh-1 soo much; i went out and bought the JP's Live Vengeance '82 DVD today.
  8. i have a couple of those decks;; they still run fine; use them as spares. anyways; seems i read somewheres where you can ADD a digital out on some of these older decks; it seemed easy; but was not interested to do that since i own so many other decks. i had read it on the other forums/boards (what ever they are); but since i don't go there anymore; you're on your own to find the info. that would be a great option to transfer in digital (at real time tho)..!!
  9. ok, soo, i'm watching Vh-1 Classic's Top 100 songs of the 80's and making a DVD of it; and really enjoying all the rants behind all the songs; ESPECIALLY, "Little Red Corvette" by Prince, one of my all time favorites; i LOVE (Red Corvettes); WHAT'S THIS!!!!!)? i'm devistated! there was NEVER a "Red Corvette"? it was Princes's name for a body part? well; i will still listen to the rest of the song in devistation.
  10. listening to The Who's miniopera i just caught on Vh1-Classic (on DVD); the track listing of the 6 songs you get on the internet are different from the TEN songs i recorded on Vh-1C. the 10 songs follow the Who's CD's track listing more accurately. like, why is Amazon's track listing wrong; is there another version? like, region "Zero"? late edit]] oh; by the way; two of the songs on the Vh-1 TV version are (A WHOLE MINUTE) longer than the same songs on the CD version; could they have "Editied" the CD versions?!!
  11. Here It Goes Again by OK-Go (MIDI) version on a CD-R;; after 10 HOURS !!!! of figuring out the chords and entering into Band-In-a-Box and making a play-a-long version for one of my piano studens (girl/Teenage).. pretty cool; MUST put it in my Hi-MD900 to show it off.. pretty much i shut off most instruments and just left the Bass & Drums. student MUST play along (just chord or play medody or both); sing along and have fun; or play and sing and suffer. (two versions; one regular speed and one slower.
  12. just bought the Who's new CD/DVD special;; DVD sucks; *as the Hi-mD "grinds away" devowering (sp) the 21 songs into it's belly*; how sick it sounds. hope it's all worth it; or, was the "grinding" better than the songs. late edit (11-04-06)]] after hearing the CD (a few times), i (rayzray)am torn between good. brilliant and religious trashing; but they have a right to their opinions. i say, the (THe WHo) must have dressed in "Purple Dresses" themselves to make this CD; but, i still like it; it's differently "The Who"! i shudda NEVER listened to the "Words"; i never do, what got over me!
  13. did u re-edit it or was it edited by someone else;; and how is it edited??
  14. Hell Hole by Spinal Tap from the now VH-1 Top 20 Soundtrack countdown; which i caught last night and am now making a DVD of just da songs; ok, i am putting that annoying VJ (Lisa) in there too; she is actually doing a good job. the Who were # 18 with Tommy, yeah! late edit] so, this is what i am gonna do da rest of my life?
  15. backing up my files *as i watch "Ugly Betty" i recorded Thursday nite*;; watching Fox News on the other TV;; recording "Open House Party" on MD#3;; copying a DVD on PC#2;; and eating a Diabetic POWER BAR (1gm of suga).. oh,, and petting da cat..
  16. mmmm;; how did my question get INTO you quote;; let me ask again..:: What brand soundcard to you have with "Optical" I/O's?
  17. Hurt by Christina Aguilera; POWERFUL zong
  18. the Who's Who's Next documentary from VH-1 Classic, now on my DVD-R;; wow what an amazing album; how come i DON'T own it; although i do have the LP Vinyl; but, i HATE to listen to "pops" and scratches and batches.
  19. listening to my latest catch: Lynyrd Skynyrd (1975) at the Old Grey Whistle Test (up all night editing to final DVD ; which sounds great, 1-Double Trouble 2-I Ain't the One 3-Call me the breeze 4-I Got the Same Old Blues 5-Every Mother's Son 6-Sweet Home Alabama 7-Free Bird (dedicated to Allman Bros (about 12 min long) footnote]] i understand he had a soar throat and sang graspy! next up; Bob Marley special with 11 songs and documentalry at end.
  20. they must have edited it; because those were the songs i recorded in that order; maybe to FIT it into an hour segment with commercials and that annoying ranting girl and Eddie etc. he (Sting) DID say before playing Message in a Bottle;; that it was the forst time they play it in public; as your link said. i also understand as the guy said before the show; that Fall Out is a "rare" song; how rare is it? there was a lead in rant by some guy that i did not keep in my final recording so as to have a DVD in High-Quality 1 hour format. late edit; oh; i am listening to "Gone Daddy Gone" by Gnarles Barkley.
  21. 1. Can't stand losing you 4:51 2. So Lonely 6:04 3. Fall Out 2:33 4. Hole in My Life 4:04 5. Truth Hits Everybody 2:32 6. Message in a Bottle 3:42 7. Peanuts (Tequila ending)lol 8. Roxanne 6:58 9. Next to you (i think) 2:15 all Mono i think; at least i don't hear any stereo separation.
  22. i understand. i guess i am fortunate to own the two HI-MD900's; they have been a total "PLEASURE" in my life. i guess i will never get an RH-1; but i wonder if the RH-10 shuffles in Group mode.. i should try it again (the Hi-MD900), to make sure i (rayzray) didn't "Dream" this up in my dreams;; which i do often; lol. i just took a nap and solved a PC problem in my dreams. now; all i have to try is; IF i have TWO different albums in the Hi-MD900 by the same "artist", will it "shuffle" through the TWO albums of the same "Artist", if i set it to "Artist Mode/Shuffle" it never ends; like with 27 MD units; mucho CD players/recorders; and now 5 DVD recorders and 5 DVD players, all Panasonics; will i EVER have "Peace of Mind"!!!!
  23. if i understand your question right; yes,it's from the TV (Vh-1) specials they have benn having. i have recorded The Police (79); The Pretenders with Friends = (Iggy Pop, Incubus, Shirley Manson from Garbage and Kings of Leon); Tom Petty; and just got AC/DC with original singer, Scott; (1977). then i put them on a Pre-Master DVD; then on the PC to the new Master-DVD. i am doing the AC/DC one right now;; from 1977;; and the lead guitar was a maniac then; he did a long guitar solo ON the balcony rail; i could see the looks on the crowds' faces as they wanted to PUSH him off the balcony!
  24. "Fall Out" by the Police (1979)at Hatfield College, England; from the Vh-1 Rock goes to College special that i put on DVD; soon to be trans to CD and Hi-MD. (in stereo). they were sooooo young and raw and i like Sting's enthusiasm comparted to the lead guitar's.: drummer not bad.
