Nice thing about AOL Radio , is if it is your active window , "Shift+Command(cloverleaf) + C " will copy the Song and Artist info , then with a Word type document opened Command+V , Paste the info , so you can make a Running list of song info , say if your recording from the radio , then go back and enter on the MD Just print the list when your done , then carry it with you , edit the disc on the train or wherever . All Labeled nice and neat.

2 weeks now with no iTunes ,........ AOL radio runs constantly , hmmmmmmm,...... go FStream too......... QT is set in prefs to Play all my Music and Video , Havent missed it one bit . Got Divx , COG ( great programmable player , just drag the files to it reorder them how you want them to play , whatever format FLAC , OGG, MP3 , WAV, AIFF , doesnt matter , they will all cue , and play in the order you want them to ) Making Curry with , Masala Chicken , and listening to Vivaldi .

for what your doing Version 1.10 isnt an issue , it really is the Quiet room I recorded a Billiards Hall today in MP3 mode and it is pretty fat . I will be using a lot of sound samples for intros and transitions on my cd . A story line if you will . So that is one of my main uses for the DR1 , also I NEEDED the limiter ( Breaks in a pool hall are pretty dynamic) I couldnt really do this sample well with MD not to get the levels I nedded. I also recorded a Flea Market , walking around in a Crowd of Japanese people in a Flea Market . Both with no real noticeable noise , but I come home to a VERY quiet room , and ............. there is the issue . I played with the new R-09 HR yesterday , and I will take my AT822 with me the next time , it was pretty darn clean , but it doesnt have the OVERdubbing feature that the DR1 has . That is a Big plus for me , getting Guitar lessons together .

ahhh ok accepted , I didnt know Softbank Bought Vodaphone .........thx ,But I have to correct you TWO Japanese companies are shown . on the Vid It Clearly Showed Vodaphone on that list as he was speaking of the carriers , down at the bottom right of the scrolling display of all the carriers . Also the video clearly Shows , Softbank , AND Vodaphone separately ,.........ergo................ the TWO Japanese Carriers is easily assumed ( Bottom left is Softbank , on the Right is Vodaphone )

On the Video Steve specifically showed Vodaphone on the list of providers , I beg to differ , This is exactly why I said THE WHOLe video needs to be watched What is it with "Glance and Know " with everyone these days , .......... Well , depending on the Gig , There are Mic holders that Clamp to a Drum kit ( You probably have a couple with your drummer ) but get one that has an extension , and the 39 dollar holder , and Clamp the holder to a Ceiling Rafter or one of the Electrical pipes , or wiring pipes if there are any , then you WILL be able to center it , and place it back in the Audience without anyone getting to it ( This is what I have ALWAYS done ) I carry a clamp type mic rig where ever I go play , and mount my AT-822 on it . Great results every time. here is one design , you could probably make one from Hardware parts here is another one

Ohh by the way , Took apart the MIxer , and cleaned inside the Faders with alchohol and q-tips , vacuumed out the circuit board , and pots , put it back together and tested it . Unbelievable Sound for a 30 year old mixer , FAT FAT FAT , I will post something after I get some spray lube for the Pots and Faders , get everything smooth .

yeah I agree with that , but in Japan it will be on several different servers I think , starting with Vodaphone , I am on Tuka ( which I believe is Vodaphone ) now so I would have to check that out , if not the iPod touch will be revamped with the new software , and it is wireless so , if it can use 3g and WiFi , then free spots are everywhere and cheap spots are even easier to find . There are some services for wireless that are 30 bucks a month with full country coverage ( Internet only)

There is one source of the debate eh! Is it the Calls or The Box ....... if it is the Overall sound quality , then that is one of the MAIN complaints that everyone has had with the iPod series , is in comparison with MD , The "i" stuff just plain did not sound good this new model has a Flush headphone jack , so that you don't need an adapter , you can use ANY headphones you want to, not just the White social identity tags that come with the iPhone . The Gaming on it looked really cool full 3d graphical and tilt motion control , I thought the Medical Programs were very cool , viewing full Scalable MRI imaging and every other aspect of anatomy and medicine is going to make the Doctor /Patient interaction , quite a bit easier .

If you listened to Jeigermeisters , that was all done with the internal mics The Bass response was incredible I have a new unit ( Tascam swapped mine out ) and have 1.10 on it , the main thing is the "Quiet Room" in a quiet room the noise filter algorithim just doesnt know what to look for so the unit gets noisy ....... Also I have noticed that when using headphones to monitor what I am recording , there is more noise than when not using phones . So there is a slight Power management issue . If i ever get schematics , I think I could make a workaround for the Mic1 input , so someone send me a Pdf if you find one . I just need to trace the lines for Mic 1 to the IC , and the Two sets of resistors that form the Ratio for the input impedance there is one set for the Internal mics , and then another set just before the Mic 1 in joins the main in the the IC ,........ If I can pinpoint those two set without having to take mine all to pieces then I can make AND POST a workaround so the external mics will give a MUCH better output .

The SdK that comes with the new software someone will be writing audio apps for the iPhone soon 199 for the 8Gb , full 3G compliance , and support in 70 countries now . unbelievable , ....... it also has GPS ......... What speed are the Cards? That may have an effect , If they arent class 6 compliant they may be too slow or , you may have a Bad unit , try again at home with some different settings first to make sure, and save the original file , so that if there is a prob you can take it back and show them .

Just went to Hardoff today .....( Again) To introduce a freind to the wonders of "Used Gear " My last 1,500 yen , netted me ...... a Teac M-09 Mixer still working, unchecked by the store , and in the Junk bin just because its is sooooo old. I have already tested and confirmed it works ( Quite WELLL at that ) almost noise free performance , except for the controls and internals are in dESPERATE need of cleaning . When I Get done cleaning it , it will look like this

Besides HI MD Transfer 2.0 for Mac. There are some very cool ways to get jams . And Also ways to work around problems with MSN Video . If your using Safari ( I have no need for three or four browsers) , When you klik on a link to an MSN video , your greeted with " Your Browser isnt supported " ......pure BS Try this , klik on a MSN video link , where that message pops up in Safari , now.......instead of closing that window or hitting the Back Arrow in the Browser frame , Hit the Delete key . you will be looking at the Video page , from there , klik the MUsic tab , select an artist , and the little + buttonat the bottom right in each of the video frames on the page , adds them to a Playlist ,........................ bam load them , then in the Video window that actualy plays the vids , bottom right is the fullscreen button Line out to your MD , Headphones or Line out from the MD to your speakers , there you go . Watching Sheryl Crow , with 15 videos in the Playlist full screen right now . Have fun ( The Last Video , is actually the entire concert 82 minutes 11 seconds)

For Portable the only IC or Flash based recorder that will compare in the " Budget realm " is the PCM-D50 .......... I want one myself

With the nature of Sony"s vehemence , Openly posting the idea of reverse engineering their proprietary software , whether defunct or not , I dont think is a very good idea . There are Sony people who browse the boards , unknown to you . Sony's R&D dept , is on 24 hour search and find , to determine trends and figure out was WILL be popular . ( Even though they get it wrong half the time )
