This is a preamp that I build myself , PM me with your email . and I will send some pix and sound samples of the mic W/Preamp I built these to go with Multi Track recorders because the inputs of MTR's are notoriously weak and noisy So they are usefull in a great variety of situations , I can plug my Acoustic Guitar directly in to the preamp , so that I can drive a Rack type effects processor instead of stompbox type effects Yes the 23 is hard to find , It was replaced with the ECM 23 F5 and I dont like the look of the 5 specs are not all that different , but the 23 is the best mic I have used for Acoustic guitar and Hand percussion .

Tell you what , if your interested , I will trade you a nice mic , and one of my Mic preamps for it ( My mic pre , is a 9 volt battery powered , mono 26 db gain with an 88 db S/N ratio, unbalanced in and out ). It works great with the DR1 , adds a LOT of flexibility to the Mic 2 input I really could use the 23

???? not enough to complain ???? 50 blank CD's here are about 798 yen on sale for the bulk packs , Nicer quality will of course cost more , but the issue of a Tax on a media of which they have no idea WHAT your going to put on it . So if the discs say DATA instead of blank Audio cd's do they have the same tax ? They are almost the same thing and DATA CD's work just fine for Audio ( Better in a lot of cases ) they plain fact of having that kind of tax on a blank media , which NOTHING is on , to charge for PRESUMED usage or Material , because it is ASSUMED that your going to put copyrighted stuff on it , is illegal . It is basically the same as saying that I would have to pay the RIAA , TO RECORD MY OWN MUSIC ..................!!!! My Stuff , not someone elses ......... and I would still have to pay a MUSIC Tax DATA ( Pictures , files , ebooks , whatever ) ..........and I still have to pay a MUSIC /Movie ( ie. ENTERTAINMENT )tax next thing is , I am sitting out in the park , playing my guitar for my OWN personal enjoyment , and some dude in a suit comes up to me and says that I have to Pay an entertainment fee just for exposing someone to music , also a Performance fee , because I am playing outside , then the cops show up and bust me for PERFOrMING without a License and take me to Jail . ................... Well , I would say , Get a Mac , with OSX Tiger , And use Md Transfer 2.0 , in which anything HiMD that comes in (HiLP,HiSP,PCM) will be imported as WAV and will be unrestricted . No OMA , files whatsoever No SS cataloging , or Database to deal with , and as that you have That many tracks You might find it worth the investment . A HUGe hardrive and a good Mac, iMac , G4 , G5 , Macbook C2D ( dont get the first version of the Macbook Intel Core) Macbook Pro , You can make mountable drive images BURN for mac is an Awesome straight forward prog .

Original Manual :Unwrinkled!?!?and unstained in any way Original Warranty sheet : Still sealed in its Plastic baggy For those who dont know , this Portable is I believe the LAST model to have Optical OUTPUT on it , .... Yes folks OPTICAL , In & Out ,with Sample Rate Conversion (32,44.1,48 khz->44.1Khz)Which means it wont have any probs from the optical out on my Mac . Also 10mw + 10mw Phone Output It was sitting next to a Very Beatup Sony MZ1 ( still Working ) when I found it , the MZ1 was in such bad shape that I had to pass on it , The DMC E7R was all bagged up and actually LESS than the MZ1 ........ Furby is for an area where air is moving , You probably wont be recording in mono for any thing , I asked about that with the Tascam Rep , and the answer was that the Mono feature is mainly intended for Mic2 input . The Mic direction , IS important , face the Mics , to the sound source , unless your looking for a more ambient and less direct sound . It could be usefull in strong Bassy sound situations to point the mics up .

I have heard from two people on Leopard that is working ok , except they had to modify some settings , I am not sure about 10.5.2 the newest update might cause conflicts , Sony Got out of the Md Game before Leopard came out , so it isnt likely they will continue updating the software That is why I am still on Tiger , ..................

M200 , and the RH1 are basically the same machine , Labeled differently , and the M200 comes with a Cheap stereo mic , Both will work on a Mac I am on a Macbook Pro C2D 2.16 Ghz with Tiger maxed out You would use the MD Transfer 2.0 software

You dont use Sonic stage on Mac ............ MD Transfer 2.0 is the name of the Program for Mac , Sonic Stage doesnt even run on a Mac unless you are dual Boot With Windows http://support.sony-europe.com/dna/downloa...x?l=en&f=MT klike that link to get to the download site. for an English version I think you can select other regions from there as well. Ahhhh you miss stated , ok your are on MD Transfer , To be able to transfer the files to your computer ,there are three things. #1 Your disc needs to be in HI Md mode , not a standard MD ( Which means Older MD's will not transfer , but there is a way around that , I will show later) #2 The tracks you wish to transfer need to have been recorded in Hi MD mode ( Hi LP , HI SP, or PCM) #3 Then , the tracks that appear will show in the Software , in two types , Types that cannot be transfered (Older tracks , Standard MD Mode) will be Grey The Tracks that CAN be transfered will show not greyed out, and you Command klik the tracks you want to bring in , ( Highlight them ) they turn blue , then at the bottom of that window , is the transfer button .
