I have used MD lens Cleaners , the main thing is to get a GOOD one , not some off brand you have never heard of . Audio Technica , and a couple others , I have used ( Wet Type ) with a Lens solution with good results . Dry Types of off brands may scratch the lens in a worse case , or just smudge whatever dirt is there making the situation worse , Use a Wet Type cleaner and allow dry time before using the MD I run mine twice , Wet 1rst time , then 3 minutes later while just damp not Wet , I run it again to make sure there are no streaks . once every 6 months or year depending on Climate and environment , or if the MD is stored in a case or not . (Mine almost always are )

Actually he doesnt need Sonic Stage at all , Audacity will work better and give him editing ability such as Noise redux , Reverbs , EQ etc . If he is going to go line in Real time recording , Audacity or if he is on a Mac, Final Vinyl or Audacity , or Audio Recorder 3.2 which all have Rec Meters Connect Line out of Md , to Line in on Comp ----> setup audio settings in Computer for Line input to be source , then open Audio program ( mentioned above) In Audio Program preferences , select Line in as Source , then go back to program , turn Monitor on , play sample from MD , set levels , the restart MD , and hit record on Audio program . Save files as separate by pausing Md between songs , and creating new file in Audio Program , or Record the whole thing at one time and split file afterwards . Name and save files , Use Switch from NCH Sound or something similar to convert to MP3 ----------> load your MP3 player . If you use Audacity you will have some tools for "Polishing" the audio to make your band sound better

the 3D is a Dowloader , no Mic or Line inputs , ..............If you want a recorder the 3d is off your list RH1 . for Player , then the 3D is right there .

Which again confirms what I have said all along , ......... For Louder environments to DR1 does it's thing quite well The ONLY gripe , is when you get to Really quiet places the Mic 1 stage is just a little too weak . But functionality and ease of use the DR1 is in the pocket . Rock on Jaeger ,sounds good man

You would need a program like Switch to convert the WMA to MP3 first , then you can play them on the RH1 Or you can record them onto the RH1 from the Line out of the Computer , to the Line in of the RH1 , more time consuming , but better quality and guaranteed compatibility http://www.nch.com.au/switch/

sounds like your 910 battery is bad , My RH1 will go for 6 hours or more on battery recording ,

While cleaning out another area of the house so I can repair it , I found an OLD , Olympus Six , Accordian lens type Camera ,the date on the receipt is " Showa 29 " which is 1954 Original Box , and receipt (all in Japanese ) and the camera still works , it is actually in pretty good shape , It will need to be taken to a pro shop and thoroughly cleaned and lubed , but that is all it will need . The Accordian Pullout for the lens is uncracked , and still supple . Your on Windows I take it , I helped with a program called "MusEdit " http://www.musedit.com/ Extremely useful and well laid out , The Guitar box , that contains Tuning options , and String options , Chord Layout is what I helped with , Doug is a very cool guy. check it out , it is a Very good way to get everything down plus it imports MIdI and turns it into sheet music or Tabs whichever you prefer .

I have several hundred discs , collected over 15 years , dont doubt him/her on the collection issue ,.......... My wife is ALWAYS complaining about my MD's being all over the place . We are in a Two story house , with 6 rooms , ...............and there are MD's in every dang one of em !

This Targus pack will also use AND CHARGE 4 rechargeable AAA batts ,

Pull the battery out and make sure it is oriented properly . Also the Battery may be old , even though the unit is unused , Lithiums without usage will go bad from time to time . If the battery from your M200 ( the same thing as RH1) will work in it , then it is a Battery issue Also , What power supply are you using ? If it is a Japan 100 volt supply the 120 US voltage will shut it down from thermal overload ( unless it says 100-240 world voltage on the supply) try those things then come back

I can never get those to work on the Mac , I even tried using a card reader , to transfer the songs then put the card into it , .......no go maybe that will get fixed soon , just for toting a set of guitar lesson material , or language lessons , it would be nice to have one of those cheapies , so I dont have to beat up on my Md's all the time .

Had all 6 kids with parents in my home last night at 10pm , I told the "Kids " ( large 15 year olds ) I have a rule , when you see eye level with me talking stops . Two of you are eye level .................. 6 on 1 and a small skinny 1 at that 13 years old .......... ok , you want go 6 on 1 , you me right here right now , ( in front of one of the fathers),.................. hit my kitchen table so hard the whole house shook , and all 6 of them burst into tears . And the Sensei's did NOTHING They ganged up on him , in the bathroom , He escaped , and went to the teachers , and they DId ABSOLUTELY NOTHING , even worse , they with held the names of those involved . We called the Police , and I sent email to the Japan Times . The police are stuck because there isnt any serious injury , so they cant arrest the students . And the Teachers are unwilling to do anything to supervise the students , lunch breaks , are open ground , and the foreign student is the prime target . For no other reason than just being there. Sanyo Eneloop , has a new 2 AA USB pack that will work as well , I was looking at it 30 minutes ago , and it states that it will power the PSP , so it will also Power the RH1 using a standard USB cable ,
