As a Last resort , Record from the Line out of your computer to MD , then Record to Audacity from the MD , store them as WAV , OGG , or whatever . Mac doest do sonic stage I am glad to . Just simple WAV transfer and no DRM
-
I could just see a Seinfeld episode in that somewhere!?!?
-
The RH1 , works with Mac and Windows , but to transfer to the RH1 , On windows , you can use Sonic Stage , to get stuff into SP mode , and I think make it playable on the 55 , on Mac what ever gets transfered , the disc first has to be in HiMD mode , which means it will only play on HiMD players. One of the Windows guys should chime in here , I am on a Mac .

here is the MDCF guide for remotes , I have been testing a bunch of remotes to see what works with what , and have been surprised. http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=8147 I think it should be ok , except that I noticed the location as Hong Kong , and a No return policy only store credit. That I would not trust .

will it play in SS? if it wont download to the player , then record it directly from the line out of you computer, to the MD
-
you didnt answer my question ,..........what FORMAT is the voice recording , ... What type of File is it , is it an MP3 , is it WMA , is it OGG , what FORMAt is it , SS can only convert certain types of files to ATRAC format .
-
Voice ? what format ? mp3 , or wma , or ...... MD only play ATRAC , so you would have to convert the file in Sonic Stage first , I am on Mac so a windows guy will have to answer that one .
-
No it isnt a HiMD , and LP 4 mode will be 4 times the disc you put in , (ie.80 minute disc x4 , 74x4 , etc)

Hints: How to Control Your Levels and Make Undistorted Recordings
Strungup replied to dex Otaku's topic in Live Recording
not really , I dont think it will be that heavy , they were looking at the mic jack for the MicroTrack2 , and it is plasticky the MD is metal housed .................. but if your deck is sitting down , then it wouldnt matter it would support itself. But yeah the idea of an extension cord is a very good one, allowing the MD to stay in a tight pouch .I can see that . -

M-Audio now has an inline 10db Pad for 1/8 inch stereo mic inputs , it also allows the voltage to pass thru it , so the mics still get power !! tell me that doesnt work for ya , I want one , I will go order it next week. -
Replaced with a M-Audio Firewire Solo ( Used) it was at Softmap , in the used dept. I downloaded the drivers reloaded it for Mac , hook up the Firewire , and started Audacity ........ Flawless , Could be a little more spacious sound wise , but it is workable. it also works as a standalone , that is cool .....

I took the Axden back , But had a Heck of a time getting my money back , They only wanted to repair it , I explained that If I had had it 3 months and used it everyday and it broke ,..... ok Repair I agree , but to break in the first hour of me owning it , NO WAY , I do not want something that unreliable , we got into an argument , ......... I got my money back but let them know I would not be back . So ,I do NOT buy anything from Azden , crappy stuff .
-
Dang BIG , ......... I dont think I couldve said it better if I tried !!!!!! well put dude.
-
UPDATE : I tested a bunch of different mics and connections , and channel 1 started making a weird noise , so I shut it down , then started it back up after awhile , and it was noisy as heck , dont buy this preamp . I am taking it back as soon as I can .
-
Ok here is the deal , a Sony ECM23f3 , into channel 1 of the Azden field preamp . Gain set 3/4 line out on the Azden > Line in MAcbookPro , > Audacity>(Normalize 0db, trim ends or file )> Switch Converter>mp3 No real noise redux or anything . 1 mic , mono ( center 2 channels ) Although the spec sheet say -60 db S/N on the Azden , it was specified at 600 ohm load , my mics are 250 , 200 , 150 it boasts 50 db gain , I was easily peaking the meters in Audacity , had to come down quite a bit . this is also the same sound you would get from your MD Line in from the Azden .

The R50 is a must keep , I have one as well and would not sell it.
