Well just yesterday i scored a wicked bargain on ebay:

Haha, you better pray it's not a piece of poo man

I ordered an Epson R340. I am sort of regretting it as the cost of inks is quite high and I wanted a printer that could print black and white photos properly. I know this wont do that now because it only has one black ink tank, not different shades of gray and a black like in hp printers. I bought this printer because of the 6 ink tanks, ie replace one each time one goes instead of the whole colour when only one of the colours in the tank is gone, and also for the features, i.e pictbridge, colour screen, can print onto printable cd's. I am thinking of returning it. What do you reckon??? I mean I want something that prints on cd's and none of the hp's do that, the only printer I know that does this are epsons and canons. The canon ip8500, which happens to be 70 pounds more expensive than the r340.

Two Rack Mounts;; $300.00 USD worth; to put my A/V Recording gear; greaing up to go to the field; fiedling all kinds of A/Visuals for my DVD'ing; DVD'ing my way to im-mortality (sp); imortalizing myself in the eyes of my locals; locally i will never be forgotten..

in other words i am giving up MD'ing for DVD'ing and music on DVD-Rams. Bam bim boom goes the towering rackmount in my studio; all falls down to make room for non-Sony stuff!!!!

If you do print a lot and print in color, you might wanna consider to invest on a CIS.

Hey, Ray, I bought some 3m and 6m fiber optic TOSlink A/V dubbing cables from RadioShack at the price you posted earlier. :D

Cool;; i am still buying them up in RI (USA). there are 44 more left in this RS Region;; lol.

i actually use most of them; especially now with my NEW A/V Mixer outfit; (going on the road).

need a few of these cables for spares in case the kids use them as a Limbo Stick.

i am replacing all my studio's Toslink's with these newer ones.

glad i could finally be of service to someone on this board; some ppl find me boring; but in reality ; I am a "Party Animal" lol. *5 naps a day*..!!

Those make me wish there were designer 1gb Hi-MD discs. Yesterday, I finally got my 1gb Hi-MD. All 12 of them blue, clear, and very, very plain (compared to ^). :(

But, they are my first 1gb discs. :D

I'm not sure if I remember correctly but there was some guy who did some regular/Hi-MD surgery, replacing the Hi-MD platter with existing rare MD styles. Figured that Hi-MD styles were boring anyways so why not try. :)

Yeah, it was some guy from T-Board. I think I'd rather make cool printed labels instead of that doing transplant, but thanks for the suggestion. ;) Just my wishful thinking that someday there will be more variety in 1GB disc styles. So, my future buy will be some Avery labels that forum members use.

If you're still interested in getting more Aiwa discs, there is a seller on eBay who is constantly selling them in bulk: 30 Aiwa MD on eBay for US$25.

Not sure of your location, but they only ship within the US.

At last it arrived - my new Vaio Skype Phone / Mouse. Managed to grab a quick shot with the DH10P.

[attachmentid=1588]

LOL  dude, when i first saw that thing when it came out I just thought who the hell is gonna buy that?? It looked a bit like its made by Matell/Tyco/Tomy etc toy companies. Whats the build quality like? Plastics, hinges etc?

How efficient is the mouse as a Skype Phone? I have tried Skype via my HBH-610 - great experience thus far.

It seems very good so far. I have used it mainly on international calls pc to pc to Japan and UK and everyone said the quality was excellent both in normal phone mode and when using it as a hands-free speaker phone placed on the desk. No echo. For me it is very useful as I probably spend a good few hours on Skype a day to colleagues in other countries. As both my other headset and usual notebook mouse died at the same time I was able to replace them both with one accessory.

Design is also quie nice despite looking a bit plasticky.
