yes that is the ideal solution and everyone would be happy. But i guess sony just didn't want to spend time to improve SS and atrac.

i havent used one, but from everyone who has S700, the sound quality sure surpasses HD5 and E507 for a number of blocks. For the headphones, do keep in mind that without them the noice cancelling function would be useless =P

im sure that there're 4 gig models of S700 outside of Japan cuz we had S706 back in Canada but it was sold at $289 on the sony cananda site

i think the latest A800s share the same kind of cable with the S700 series. I am 100% sure that the cable from E505 is not compatitable for S705. however, you can try local sony stores and ask for a replacement.

i dont think it would be that easy for me to ditch sony and switch to apple, that would mean i have to think of a new ID lol a few things here: -good battery life: 40+? -no stupid flat design, definitely no shuffle like design -no click wheel -better supplied earphones and there're still too many demands

lol i'll agree with the comment on VAIO, they are even more expensive than macbooks which are already ridiculously priced, but VAIOs are way better than macbooks IMO back to the topic, i have only 2 sony products, which are the E507 and E005. I might get a sony ericsson phone in the future tho.

Awww im so sorry to hear such bad news. For the repair, I dont think it will take over one month under normal circumstances for any products not sure tho. As for the songs, i hope it wont be a big problem. Everything would be fine if all the tracks are still on your computer, it just takes some patience to transfer them onto the player. Good luck

Congrats. I also like my E005, it is compact, light, but not fragile. Blue colour would be really nice. This thing would have kicked some serious shuffle butts if only it had come out 1 year earlier.

oh i just meant that they are more specialized in playing movies and other video files. In other words, the audio function is not the main job they do. I havent listened to mp4s yet so it is hard to judge the sound quality compared to mp3 players. I can check on some Chinese websites, hope they will do a few reviews on this player.

the answer is probably a no, since sony china had released its own CE-P series a couple of years ago, and it didnt do well at all. Most people in China find buying a PSP would be a better choice than buying the M70 series, based on price. P.S. i have seen the package of the M70. it is very similar to the one of the A800 series, but it comes with the MDR E808 earphones. Plus the M70s are classified as mp4s by sony China, so i wont expect too much from its sound quality.

uhmm maybe u can try the reset button on the 705's back, it wont make any changes to ur setting nor delete any songs. If the reset doesnt help, u might need to contact sony. do the ones from woot come with warranty? p.s. the OLED wont turn into another colour that quick under normal circumstances

they dont seem to be made by sony china, but i dont favour this series because it seems to be just some random brand instead of sony's product =/

hi there, welcome to atraclife! u can check the version of ur player's firmware by going into the menus, and followed by advanced menu, information, and the fourth info is ur current firmware ver. so if it is 1.00, u can just update it from this site, and if it is 2.00, u can just go ahead and get those display into ur player

that's right, and i dont think the ones sold on woot were that pink in the first place. it was probably a few errors in the production process, so these models were sold at a really low price. they dont have the location of manufacturing on the back either, but those who bought them claim them to be working well

umm i dont agree with the above opinions >< from my past expierence, it is possible to go back to previous firmware on E500 series as long as the firmware is available, i think it will also work on E000 series, not 100% guaranteed tho maybe u could try downloading firmware from this site, or a different location, but i dont think it is the firmware that causes ur FM to be defective
