umm i doubt any girl would choose to carry a CD player around when there is a choice of mp3 player. so i suggest the 002
-
i vote for number 1 =|
-
Rob A plz don sound too harsh =/ i know that technically, the 512mb player aint worth that much, but it is pretty rare, as it was the last walkman that was MIJ, not anywhere else. Zephir I guess it is more for the collectors other than just daily users right? good luck

great review!!! thx for sharing there's the new 1.02 firmware which just came out fresh: firmware 1.02 it would be great if u also put on some pics of the pretty baby =D
-
i found it in p36 of A600's operation guide. go into "menu", then "Cue/Rev" to switch it from "normal" to "rapid". Note: "only availabe when using the Music Library or Intelliegent Functions in stop mode."
-
plus i remember A608 has the option of adjusting the jog shuttle speed, which also helps.
-
of course it is the HD5!!!!!!! A1000/3000 were kind of eye-catching but nah..just look at their specifications and they kinda suck
-
how about this: after connecting 407 to your computer, go into "controls", "device/media", is there an option of initialize?

Sony NW-A8XX Series carrying cases
AntiPod replied to Old skool D's topic in Product Reviews/Pictorials
well i have not seen one from sony yet, hopefully some third party will make one -
omgosh the price seems insane in australia >.> i certainly feel bad for u guys, as the A800s are really cheap in canada, at the same price level with nanos not to mention nanos are cheapiest in canada compared to the rest of the world
-
well if u live in vancouver, u need to know that the A800s are at the same price with Ipod nanos, which are $169 for 2gig, 229 for 4 gig, and 299 for 8gig this level of price should be lower than that in japan
-
not really, except it has the "intelligent features" of the A series but i don think many ppl use it anyway oh and there's the infamous "connect"...

the silicon skin can keep out most dirt and other bits of stuff, but if you don want the device to get dirty, you might need to take off the skin regularly to clean the dandruff and other dirt that got under the skin before they get under the plastic case through the gaps arount the buttons
-
well the silicon skin is obviously not bullet-proof or anything even close to that =P i guess your device had been scratched from keys or other hard objects still, the screen of the 005 is not protected. In my case i used a piece of clear film to protect the screen

I was trying to install the microsoft applocale program provided in the pinned post to make Asian languages work on my walkman, but I've encountered a problem while installing: the program somehow is not installed correctly. This error message shows up every time. What can I do? Plz help
-
hmm i don think it is just the firmware, the system takes quite some space in the player the real amount of space is going to be less than 1 GB as advertised bcz of that
-
so go into the menu of the player, go into "advanced menu", then "initialize", "format", "ok"

S203/205: Are there problems with dust under the screen?
AntiPod replied to Techno Pride's question in Audio
well my previously owned E405 and my current 507 do suffer from dust, but they are nicely built. I used to put the 405 into my jeans a lot without any cases on it, and trust me, the clip (the one from the accessory) scratched more than my jeans did. O_o Anyway my point is that the surface of the player is pretty much scratch resistant, compared to ipods and maybe some other brands. The jog shuttle did show some minor discolour after one year of use, but it is really minor. My walkman logo never got scratched. For the S70X series, i noticed that the players dont have screws on them. >.> Therefore it might be more dust resistant? Just my guess. But i do hear complaints similar to Stuge's. Well u can well interpret this message into sony's trick of forcing u to buy one of its carry cases. -
Congrats~cant wait to see your review
-
hmm im not really sure. I know warranty is real solid stuff here in canada, but i had some unhappy experience with sony's ppl when i was trying to return something. I think it is good generally speaking, but there are chances that u'll meet some ppl that don allow such things =/ p.s. if my 507 breaks i'll get an A808 for sure
-
i would like to try the intelligent shuffle feature as well. I wanted an A608 last summer, but they were sold out so i had to go for an E507 which lacks this feature =/ sadly my 005 doesnt have any intel. shuffle either (sports time thingy doesnt count xD)
-
Ascariss just said it: 132 pounds for the unit plus tax we don have the official screen protector here, and i don think many ppl would really buy it instead of the cheaper ones on the sony jp site, the screen protector costs 980 yen, roughly $10 in canadian dollars. That'll be a lot cheaper than the price stated even if the screen protector is included
-
??? there are display screens for E005????? if im not mistaken, they are only for E400s and 500s, not the 000 ones.
