Sorry my friend, but there were a few threads about heavtank and how he likes to scam people. He is a scammer. You really should do your research about a person before buying from anyone. He took your money and ran.

This needs to be done: Almost 8 hours of DVD video quality. This would go great with a touchscreen Hi-MD unit with music and video playback.
-
NO! I described the ultimate Hi-MD unit and it is possible to produce. But Sony won't take our ideas, because they think we're stupid for using minidisc in the first place.
-
The next Hi-MD unit should include: -large color touch screen -minidiscs that can playback video and hold 5GB of music/data/video -SonicStage software that can compress movies or other video and transferred to Hi-MD -super bass, mega bass or x-bass -should be called the MZ-RHV This is not impossible, but Sony, who is losing money on every PS3 they sell, are in no position to even consider a Hi-MD unit to compete with the Apple iPod Touch. But there is no denying, I have described the ultimate minidisc unit.

MP3 @ 320 sounds like crap on the RH1. I don't know why, but it does. For some reason MP3 @ 192 is ideal for the RH1. The unit enhances the sound quality of lower bitrate music. Volume is only an issue if a song is very very soft or it's too loud. Then I use MP3 gain to give it some extra volume or I use to bring the volume down to avoid clipping. I know there are WAV gain software out there, but none of them are as easy to use as MP3gain. If there was a WAVgain that you use exactly like MP3gain, then I would definately use it.
-
You can rip music in SS in MP3 format. The reason I use MP3s is because of MP3gain. I can't normalize ATRAC3plus files because there is no ATRACgain (but there should be). Since the music transfered to NetMD is not very loud, it does not need to be normalized, and the soft music is enhanced by the units Type-S playback and the stronger bass output.
-
Yes, I'm using CDs for everything. I use Simple Burner to transfer to NetMD and I use SonicStage to make MP3s of my CDs and then transfer to the RH1. Softer music sounds better on NetMD and louder music is best on the RH1. And I do normalize my MP3s when the volume is 98dB or higher. I transfered Madonna's "Hard Candy" to NetMD unit (LP2) and to the RH1 (MP3 @ 192). The MP3 music sounded more like the original CD.
-
Not to side track, but I noticed that the RH1 was probably designed to enhance the sound quality of low bitrate music. For example, for some reason, if I transfer a song in MP3 @ 192 vs MP3 @ 320, the lower bitrate track sounds much better. The higher bitrate track lacks bass and the highs seem to be less crisp. I know it sounds strange, but I do not think my ears decieve me. Since most music listeners use MP3 files @ 128 - 192, the unit enhances the sound quality. Sony may have been pushing the idea of using lower bitrates to fit more music on a disc, and still enjoy great quality sound. In my honest opinion, MP3 @ 192 played back on my RH1 sounds great! And to add, LP2 on my NetMD sounds great as well. Almost identical to SP, almost.

This sounds like a lot of gibberish. Could you explain exactly what you did? What is 0114? Below 80? 7F? You can't assume everyone on this forum knows what you're talking about.
-
I'm sorry, but I was under the impression that every single Hi-MD unit can record in SP. I know my RH1 does, and my pretty sure my RH10 did also.
-
After transfering music to my NetMD player using LP2, it seems that music from the 60s, 70s and 80s sounds much better on it than music of the 90's to present. I would transfer music by Simon and Garfunkle, The Beatles, ABBA and The Biggies in LP2 format. These CDs are not as loud as present day CDs and therefore after the transfer process, they exhibit little to no distortion when played back on my NetMD player. On my RH1, using MP3 @ 192, I would transfer music by Madonna, Michael Jackson, alternative rock and other loud CDs. The music sounded great on the RH1 but when this same music was transferred to my NetMd player, there was noticeable distortion. In conclusion, I will use my NetMD player for soft music and my RH1 for louder music. Anyone else agree or noticed similar results?
-
The majority of music listeners out there don't care much about the sound quality as much as we do on this forum. iPod is designed for ease of use because Apple feels that their customers are nitwits who can't find their way out of a paper pag. Without reading the owners manual, anyone one of us on here can figure out how to use a new iPod, but give an iPod user an MZ-RH1 and wait for them to say, "duh, what is this?" or "where is the pretty color screen?" "is it broke?." Basically, the iPod will never sound as great as Minidisc or Hi-MD units, as long as Apple keeps focusing on appearance rather than quality.

If life is simple, then you should have no problems finishing the transaction. Levanel maybe the same guy as heavtank.
-
REAL LIFE = you're too damn lazy to finish the transaction, or he's trying to figure out how to scam you. Seriously, if you don't have the time, or you're going to use real life as an excuse, you shouldn't be buying or selling.
-
He's from Nigeria, the capital of scammers.
-
Doesn't change the fact that heavtank is a scammer. I noticed he's reading this thread but no longer responds.
-
Although Guitarfxr is an enemy of super bass, I have to agree with him. Heavetank is possibly a scammer. Anyone who does not have time, should not be buying or selling. Another note, most scammers resort to insults and name calling just like heavtank did earlier.
-
When you snooze, you lose. So if someone isnt' responding to their messages quick enough, it gives another buyer the chance to buy the item. And if you're a buyer, you want to buy the product as soon as possible before someone else gets it.
-
This same guy asked about my RH10 and I gave him all the info and how I would not be scammed. He never responded after that. Once a scammer realizes that they can no longer scam you, they will not respond anymore. Anyone who asks a question about any product you're selling, and does not respond, is a scammer.
-
I know, i was just joking.
-
Sony is a complete failure. THey do not listen to common sense and reason, just look at the PS3. Guess what? The Blu-Ray format isn't selling well due to ridiculous high prices. Hmm...sound familiar? (MD in the 90's).
-
Maybe setting a price will help. Or put the word "FREE" on the thread title and I'm sure it will attract more members since that's what they want.
-
MDC? Is that Minidisc Canada? If you are referring to Minidisc Canada, they are $4.08 each X 5 = $20.40 plus shipping $18 = $38. Exactly how is that cheaper than $18 shipped? It's twice the price, what a joke.
-
Wow, i thought you sold these. $18 for all five is a good deal. People want stuff for free or dirt cheap nowadays. Good luck man.
