  1. Which was the last Sony NetMD unit with optical input, that was made before the Hi-MD units were released? Basically, a unit that has: - USB download - Line In - Optical In - Bass function???
  2. I'm assuming that the new Sony touchscreen music player will support ATRAC. It also features simple drag and drop music files through windows explorer. My PS3 is less than a month old, and it imports and playsback ATRAC. They may include ATRAC, but just not push it or force users to use it.
  3. When I first listed this, I didn't include a shipping cost to Canada. Now I have, so this is an updated listing with shipping cost to Canada.
  4. $24 shipped to the U.S. $26 shipped to Canada, and anywhere else = $30.
  5. In terms of sound quality, MP3 is not superior to ATRAC and MD. But 99.9% of digital music players out there support MP3, and you can't say the same for ATRAC. This is why iPod took off, because it immediately supported MP3s and didn't try to push their own comression codecs as much as Sony did. Today, people only care about how many songs can they fit into their iPods, instead of how well can they make their music sound. I'm still have high hopes for the new Sony Touchscreen Music player that should support ATRAC and ofcourse, MP3.
  6. Classic MD units with bass options will always be dear to my heart. That MD deck is pretty sweet too.
  7. May not be worth much, but I have disc 2 of the Forest Gump Soundtrack. It's a genuine prerecorded MD, but the label is missing and the latch moves freely. Still plays fine in good old ATRAC 292kbps.
  8. Hi-MD 1GB discs are no longer being produced. I've noticed on ebay the price of MD or Hi-MD items are going up, because the supply is shrinking. Need to sell this, so I can buy the new Sony Touchscreen 32GB MP3 player.
  9. The lowballers think the HiMD discs are worth$70. I bought them for $6.50 each plus shipping. So easily, all 14 discs probably cost me $100.
  10. Pictures of everything included: I recieved a PM from another member encouraging me to sell my MZ-M200. Price drop to $375 shipped. Minidisc Canada WILL NOT give you 14 brand new Hi-MD discs with an RH1. So please, do not compare my sale to theirs. I was listening to Michael Jackson's BAD album on Minidisc (LP2). I listened to it on my MZ-M200 and on my NetMD unit. I could not believe that the music sounded better on the NetMD unit, and I used the same factory earphones on both units. The earphones are not the problem, it's the unit.
  11. I'm really undecided to sell my RH1, so I'm just going to try to sell the optical cable by itself. $8 shipped for it.
  12. What exactly is this unit? MD, Hi-MD, CD walkman, MP3 flash player, MP3 hard drive player?
  13. Oh crap, my mistake. I don't know why I thought ATRAC SP was 320kbps. That's what the Playstation 3 has. It has a wide range of importing bitrates from 48 - 352. But it still sounds great, CD quality, better than the Windows Media Audio importing on the Xbox 360. And the PS3 has the dynamic normalizer, so all music is played back at the same volume, just like the RH1. There's no denying, Sony is still pushing ATRAC with the PS3.
  14. No other device or software can import at ATRAC SP, except the Playstation 3, and no one else replies? I thought this would be big news.
  15. Just like the title says, it's an optical cable that's 6ft long with a miniplug adapter (to plug into an MD recorder unit). It's in great condition and still has the factory tag. The picture doesn't show the miniplug adapter, but it is included. Asking for $10 shipped.
  16. I just imported a Michael Jackson CD into my PS3 in ATRAC SP format. It sounds clear and crisp, almost identical to CD quality. Very interesting, and it imported in rapid speed, not real time. I'm going to see if I can transfer the music on my PS3 to my RH1.
  17. It's not so much sniping, it's sellers with mulitiple accounts pushing the bids up on their own products. Yes, it's illegal, but that doesn't mean they're not doing it. Recently I bidded on a PS3 game, used, that should be worth no more than $16 with shipping, and the bidding went up to over $20. I ended up buying the game new from another seller for $18 with shipping included.
  18. $250 is the lowballer price. It is worth more than that, I will wait til all of them are sold out and out of stock. Then my $400 price will be deal.
  19. It's $299 plus shipping plus cost of warranty. Here a few MZ-M200s on ebay selling for over $300. http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksi...-All-Categories
  20. That's the thing, I don't really use it at home because I just listen to music on my home stereo system. I don't want to take it outdoors either, because it's a $300 unit without warranty and don't want to take the risk of dropping it. I take my $25 NetMD unit instead, which has great bass and Type-S playback.
  21. Enemy of Bass, Nothing wrong with my RH1 and nothing wrong with my earphones. I just wanted that one extra notch of bass, or atleast make the bass 80hz instead of 100hz. I just think that a $300 unit should have all features, including Mega Bass. It's like buying an expensive sports car, without the horsepower and performance to justify the price.
