  1. I read your avatar and I find it hard to believe that they have internet in Colombia. Who's your internet service provider? The drug lords?
  2. Put in a disc with music, then connect the unit to the computer and open Sonic Stage. Play the music on the disc using SonicStage. If you don't hear distortion through the computer speakers, then probably only the earphone output is malfunctioning. Some wires maybe lose inside causing a short-circuit or something. YOu can also record your voice onto the unit with microphone, play it back in SonicStage and listen for distortion. IF it sounds clean, then recording is not affected by the problem.
  3. The sound is more than decent. I find it hard to believe that $25 unit such as the NE410 can put out more bass than a $300 RH1. What the hell was Sony thinking? The more expensive the unit, the better the bass. It's the law of the universe.
  4. GTA IV for sale. In great shape, almost new. Comes complete with disc, case and booklet. U.S. only $30 shipped. PM me or post here if you want to buy
  5. Hey Progrees, it's me chris0276 from Maxima forums. Good luck with the sale here. Plenty of good people looking for legacy MD stuff. I know Progress from another forum. He's an honest seller.
  6. IT sold quick, but I think you're price was too low, specially in Canadian dollars.
  7. The sound quality of any music player depends on: 1.) The format of the music 2.) The bitrate of the music 3.) The quality of the earphones 4.) The amplifier/sound reproduction of the unit (equalizers, bass boost, dynamic sound) My suggestion, find an MP3 player with plenty of storage and that has a bass enhancing feature. Get some good earphones, and download all your music in 256 kbps.
  8. The bass output of Hi-MD models are 100hz. Megabass is 80hz or less. 100hz = no bass.
  9. What you're describing is not Mega Bass. There is no way to modify or accidentally boost the bass level on any Hi-MD unit. Sounds like you have distortion. Try removing the battery and let the unit sit for a few minutes. That's suppose to reset it. Once again, Mega Bass was only available on MD and NetMD units. Hi-MD units don't have bass.
  10. This is off-topic and the classifieds is only for MD stuff.
  11. I'm selling a 120GB hard drive for the Xbox 360. It's black/dark grey in color. It works just like new. Asking for $100 shipped. Since members on here like to spend over $100 on MD stuff, I'm hoping someone will buy it. Thanks.
  12. Levanel, $300 is low. Consider the demand for the RH1 and the fact that they are no longer being produced. I think you can get $325 easily. But it's tough economic times, so good luck.
  13. Is the Sharp unit a NetMD unit or Hi-MD? What about bass? Type-S playback?
  14. In other words, you hate MiniDisc and you no longer want to be a part of this community. Just say it. True fans of MiniDisc support it regardless of their flaws. When you feel that it's flaws are too much for you to handle, it's time to move on to iPod or something.
  15. What the f*** are you talking about? Someone ban this scammer please.
  16. LP2 = softer and older music SP = louder and newer music Record an oldie song from the 60s or 70s in LP2 and SP. There's almost no difference in sound quality. Then record a hip-hop, techno, rock or other loud music in LP2 and SP. SP will yield better sound quality. This is because at lower bitrates like LP2, distortion arises from recording loud music. SP does a great job of minimizing or virtually eliminating distortion.
  17. In Los Angeles, California, there are no MDs in any store. I just assumed it was the same in the rest of the country.
  18. So people on here would rather pay more for MDs that look "prettier" even though their music will sound exactly the same on a regular MD. A bit is a bit, a 0 is a 0, a 1 is a 1. Regardless on what kind of MD you are going to put music on, it will sound the same! Why is my price too high? They sell brand new 5-pack Sony MDs on ebay for $12 shipped.
  19. What are you saying? That no one on here wants to buy minidiscs? Is the format really that dead? A bit is a bit, a minidisc is a minidisc, rare or not. I got these MDs as a free gift when I bought Hi-MDs from Minidisco. US = $8 shipped CA = $9 shipped
  20. Wow! 81 views and no replies? It's more like 81 lowballers who want stuff for free or dirt cheap.
  21. For sale are 5 Sony color collection minidiscs. They are all 80 min and all discs were used only a few times. The stickers/labels have not been used and are included. All the discs come in one case and are orange, black, red, purple and blue in color. I'm asking for $10 shipped to the U.S. If you're from Canada, it's going to cost more. PM or post here if you want to buy.
