Ok, so you are searching a CD with CD-text inside to test if the transfer of metadatas is possible with your setup. Great. A Net-MD connection is more convenient for editing. If your deck is not Net-MD, any Net-MD portable unit will do the job.

74' or 80' discs : their price on second hand market are not very different (this is just a question of rarity and beauty). Let us say you want to put the maximum of music time on each 74' disc ?

Wonder, wonder. It is well known on this forum that Sonic Stage make a fake SP with a LP2 like sound quality. Onlty LP2 and LP4 are exactly the same using Sonic Stage or direct recording. To get a real SP quality, please use a direct real time recording. About recording in 4x or similar speed with a combo CD-MD deck, boombox or bookshelve, I am not sure. Maybe somebody else has an answer.

Except with the JA333ES - a must have by itself - your best choice will be among type S units.

Maybe you need to read the minidisc.org FAQ about MD recording and Atrac : http://www.minidisc.org/minidisc_faq.html SP mode after the Net-MD "LP2-like" Sonic Stage transfer will be read exactly as any real time SP recording.

You are a lucky guy, we have all you need here : and then try to transfer in "SP" with Net-MD. All transfers are in Atrac except in MP3 also with only the MZ-RH1/M200. for Mac I don't knowhow to setup sonic stage, just ask again

Azureal you forgot that it has been said on that forum that Sonic Stage allow a transfer in SP mode with Net-MD, but this SP is a LP2-like quality. Not sure it work with all Sonic Stage versions or all Net-MD unit. I just never tried to do it myself.
