No reliable solution, that is why sometimes I use a plugin to create those silence tracks to be sure. Just after I always use SS and a Net-MD connection to correct false tracks, cut or join tracks and finallywrite titles. Long work but I have time. About analog vs optical, I have never tested with a PC an analog recording so I don't even know if ypu can get a problem with silence between tracks.

With sescoscuba's site, those sites are like coming back religiously to the MD museum. Amen.

Have you try to convert your iTunes audio files in the audio formats that are accepted by SonicStage ? The trick of just rename the files from .m4a ( MPEG-4 ) to . mp3 (MPEG-3) is not working very well. I would advise you to use dBpoweramp Music Converter, even if that mean to convert files by number of 10 only each times with the free edition. After the Stephen's checking procedure, delete your driver then restart Windows 10 using the disable driver certification procedure. We have spoken of that many times on this forum. Re install the same driver for Windows 8 / 10 during the session, resart Windows normally.
