I advise to use a pouch or - if the unit is not in a perfect aesthetic design - even a cover or a fur (like mobile phone's, easy to take off with Zippo fluid). Old Pictures. I have two units of that generation : NH700 & NH900. No player only at all.

I will test them to my Koss Portapro and Koss plug in-ear phones.

I have already a Koss Portapro. So what is realy better in sound quality (headphone open or not) ?

Maybe you are right (type R recording) but after that, you have to compare the listening (MD recorded with your JE480).

phamcu does not have a KMS-210A but can search for it (could take a rather long time).
