Unless you get a Sony MZ-RH1, you will have to upload (MD --> PC) your music in real time. The simplest thing is to find a MD lover on this forum in the same country than you who have a RH1 and so who will do the job for you (upload with Sonic Stage to your PC all your tracks in the wav format, still have to convert all of them in MP3). Use both Dropbox then to get back the music on ask him to burn a DVD.

Do you have this same unreliability experience with classic MDs once they are formatted in Hi-MD mode ?

It just because we are aware of "good" prices and also lovers of the MD format, not speculators.

If avrin could simply (maybe it is not simple or even impossible without Sony help) upgrade SS so we can have - this real SP transfer feaature with Net-MD - SS able to read Flac (or any other popular loosless audio file)

What a mess ! Sure that you had spent a LOT of time to re-arrange all this. Specially re-allocated all your cables to the right units. Sony celebrity D-3000 / D-7000 are also available in Vietnam (~ 4.000.000 VND).

Personaly I have here in Vietnam the solution as I have my favourite MD deck seller & repair engineer friend Pham Cu (phamcu in this forum). Pham Cu has a stock of lens, hacked from some units. His is right now proposing to give (not sell) a little stock of "Sony Optical Pick-up KMS-260B/E and KMS-262" here, but not fitted for your MDS-303 as your can check here, http://jonathan.dupre.free.fr/repair/audio/sony/minidisc/minidisc_devices_opu.txt I suppose that he can eventually find for you the right lens, so please fell free to contact him directly (Sony Insider PM).

If you use classic MDs in Hi-MD mode, you will gain much more time recording for the same price !

reminder : silence between tracks are made with the DSPs - Wincue for Winamp - Post-track silence for foobar2000

I find always easier to connect those Net-MD decks to the computer to edit tracks !
