That looks like the one from the Onkyo website
-
He he - no I know what you meant - unfortunately I don't think it will come with an add-on battery pack either.
-
Should just be able to use your regular user / password. If that doesn't work, please PM Kurisu or one of the other mods to see why you can't login to the downloads area.
-
Have you tried using the MDAC repair tool from the downloads section? http://forums.minidisc.org/downloads/details.php?file=8
-
Well one thing we're pretty sure it won't come with is a sidecar.
-
As far as I am aware yes. Don't all Hi-MD players do this? I know there were previously some issues reported by some users in this respect but I believe there were related to Sonic Stage (and fixed in 3.4).
-
Yes this is wrong - again Sony EU put up some incorrect text and images on all their sites. I believe Marck from MDCenter.nl already pointed this out to his contacts at Sony.
-
That is correct. You will be able to transfer MP3's via the Mac to MD. (But not Atrac tracks).
-
Have a great birthday MDX!

The version that ships with the RH1 is different. It is still 3.4 but it is a minor build revision that contains extra options related to uploading legacy tracks, and also the Personal Audio drivers are updated to included the RH1 and also new NetMD drivers.
-
Well at the moment no-one knows for sure, least of all whoever wrote that article, so I don't think we need to start up another speculation thread thanks.
-
Bland I was just curious does the JP version of the RH1 have the menus on the Oled in Japanese as well as English?
-
It is the same as on the NH1 yes.

Are these batteries the real thing?
Richard replied to riotshield's topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
I agree these look a lot better and identical in terms of packaging and what is written on the battery to one I have purchased last year at a proper Sony reseller store. -
Couldn't resist a cheeky preview shot...

They look pretty fake to me. You will notice the Sony logo on both the packaging and on the battery itself is distorted and not like the proper Sony logo. -
For anybody reading this thread the English version of the review is now live and you can make any further comments in this thread. http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=15278&hl=

Big Happy Birthday to Chris and Jadeclaw - have a great day both of you!
-
The version of SS 3.4 is indeed special for the RH1 as it contains the updated NetMD drivers for uploading and also some extra options in SS related to how to upload non MDLP (ie. SP / Mono) tracks.
-
Well that's what it says in the listing. But to be honest what else can he do if the english version of the software is not supplied with the Japanese version of the unit. Unless it is later available via download from Sony. (Obviously the JP version of the software supplied will work seamlessly with the RH1)
-
For anyone interested in buying a silver RH1 from Japan, Ibaraki-san has some up on eBay already at $338. http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-MZ-RH1-Hi-MD-Walk...2QQcmdZViewItem NB: The english software is only 3.0 not the new version needed for the RH1. This will also be supplied but in Japanese.
-
Well I guess you'll just have to keep your eyes peeled for the new Mac software for Hi-MD when it comes out in the summer which should be available as a download. This will offer more options for Mac users and may or may not be backwards compatible with other Hi-MD units.
-
I think so yes.

Wow way to go Ishii. On my side my Onkyo X-B8 bookshelf arrived, but I was not in so DHL will re-deliver tomorrow...
-
We will hopefully have the offical English translation done by tomorrow. I have been pretty busy but am aiming to finish it tonight.
