Well England are just playing plain badly...
-
Ok sounds like everything is ok. After running SS with AppLocale. See if you can import the CD and let Gracenote get the info from the internet - do these track titles display ok. I know some people have had issues with MP3's that were titled in another app. If you can import a cd successfully and get the Chinese info from the internet automatically then it could be an issue with the tags (if they are MP3's you are trying to import).

Well in effect I think the reverse is actually true. Connect Player was trumpeted as the successor and eventual replacment for SS, but due to teething problems was itself dumped. SS 3.4 you will find is much improved over previous versions.

You don't need to worry about changing the language in the advanced tab of the regional options control panel applet this is only for setting the default language for non-unicode programs. It's the middle tab (languages) in which you need to make sure you have support for Install Files for East Asian Languages ticked. Also did you follow the instructions in this thread to the letter? Having done this can you try manually titling one of the tracks in Sonic Stage to see if that works.

Happy Birthday Ellen! Have a great day!

The NH1 doesn't actually have any AA capabilities. Reasons you may want an RH1 are as you say the "remembering of settings" MP3 playback (which the NH1 doesn't have at all and is much improved over 2nd gen), faster transfer speeds, oled displays etc..

I think the output is slightly better on all of the Onkyo systems on that page. The speakers on the X-N7 / X-N9 are supposed to be pretty good I think. The Onkyo's also have world band FM if that makes any difference to you and probably a few more options in terms of connections. I'm kind of going through the same dilemma myself at the moment, but haven't really decided which one to get either!

When you are running SS through AppLocale are you running it as Chinese or Japanese?

There is also a 4th method being recording via optical in. The "High" option is only really to reduce the possibilty of disc read errors - hence it takes a little longer. It doesn't actually offer any increase in quality per se. Some have speculated that the encoding process may be more evolved and thus more reliable in later versions of Sonic Stage whereas Simple Burner hasn't really had any updates done for it since it came out (except for the one that introduced the PCM option). Personally I use your "Option 2" either at 256K or 352k mostly.

Why don't you just hang on a couple of weeks for the RH1? Improved HD Amp, OLED and still be able to listen to 352K

A few questions to my new lcd remote RM-MC51EL
Richard replied to Master of Disaster's topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
Can't say I've heard of the 51EL - only the 53EL which is the non-kanji version of the 55ELK. As Jaylen says though the group skip operation should be pretty much the same. -
I also have IE7 beta installed and haven't had any problems yet with SS. I haven't tried changing the location of the imported files folder though, but thanks for the heads-up.
-
Just tested it on mine it works fine of the AC with no battery - but obviously it needs to be in the charging stand.
-
Am I experiencing deja-vu or didn't you just answer this question in the same thread earlier today I think people's attention span is becoming very short lately - or we are all so excited we keep asking the same questions over and over again So someone please tell me again before I forget Is the RM-MC40ELK compatible Where can I find a black RH1? Can I upload Net MD tracks made with Sonic Stage? What no DC-in?
-
Have you tried running one of the files through the Sonic Stage file conversion tool (which should be in your Start Menu) to convert them from .omg to .oma?
-
It depends where you live. If you're in Europe then it should be the black (and only the black model) that is available anyway. The US hasn't been confirmed yet I don't think.

My primary computer is my laptop which shipped with one of these: http://www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/Reviews/Sp...ArticleId=11915 No issues in the 18 months I've had it.
-
I have had this issue with a few copy-protected cd's that SS doesn't like, but Simple Burner just munches straight through them. It depends on the bitrate you want to have these at on your unit (ie. if it is one supported by SB then just use this) otherwise if you want to convert to 352 for example (or another bitrate not supported by SB) Volta's suggestion is probably the better one.

If it goes via optical in then the answer should be yes.

Lion - this is getting a bit off-topic now but I did actually say this about 5 posts ago. The NH1 can record in mono..
-
Here's what I believe is the case (based on my own experience ) - 1st / 2nd Gen can all playback mono in NetMD mode. NH1 (and possibly other 1st Gen) can record in Mono from the unit in NetMD mode. The RH1 can record in all legacy modes in NetMD mode except mono. Theoretically all legacy modes can be uploaded but will need to be converted as you say to PCM or Hi-SP (for SP) This has yet to be tested in depth. - Marck please correct me if I'm wrong. PS: Don't quote me on this as I'm just as fatigued as everyone else trying to keep up with this thread.

The RM-MC38EL (that comes with the RH1) does have a kind of jog dial for entering titles - admittedly it's a bit clunky but it works. You could also get the RM-MC40ELK whose jog-dial is slightly quicker to use I find.

Happy birthday Stuge - have great day!
