Will confirm Ishii is right - works with all 1st Gen including EH1 & NH900 (I believe the World Tourist model of the NH900 did in fact ship with the RM-MC40ELK), but not with 2nd Gen in this way (eg DH10P or RH10).
-
You can transfer multiple albums at the same time, but as long as you do it from Albums view you should be ok.
-
It could well be that this info is encapsulated in the SS app itself or in one of the dll's. The list of bitrates in the drop down box when ripping is obviously hard-coded into the exe so what's not to say the matching of devices and compatible bitrates isn't as well.
-
You need to change your view to Albums or Albums/Playlists then just transfer the top-level album (ie. 1 line) as opposed to going into each album selecting all tracks and then transferring - if you do the latter you will have gaps between tracks.
-
I saw some in the Sony Store in Uxbridge, but that was back in August...
-
This is probably true, but they are more likely to have some in stock: I did find these though - don't know if they're any good: http://www.bristol-online.com/listings/Hi-...lers/all/retro/
-
You could convert to Atrac3 105 or Atrac3+ 64 yes. The reason bitrates 96, 192, 320 etc.. for Atrac3+ are not supported is because these bitrates were developed after the introduction of 2nd generation Hi-Md. If / When the 3rd gen Hi-MD appears they will likely support these bitrates.
-
Whereabouts in the UK are you? Have you tried the nearest Sony Store?
-
Atrac 3 Plus at 96K is not yet comaptible with any of the Hi-MD units. If you have a Hi-MD unit that natively plays MP3 it will transfer the MP3 file if both MP3 and Atrac versions exist. To force it to transfer the Atrac file you have to mnaully delete the MP3 file (or move) it via the track properties in Sonic Stage. It sounds like your play can play MP3's if SS transfers the MP3 file to the player, if so it's usually best to leave the track in it's original format. If you really must transcode then you must do so to Atrac3/+ at either 48/64/66/105/132/256 kbps.

To give you a headstart the ones you are looking for are illustrated below: Note that you should also search for these in Windows\System32\Drivers Directory of C:\Program Files\Sony\Personal Audio Driver 01/04/03 19:55 35,319 NETMD031.sys 10/11/03 13:31 36,232 NETMD033.sys 08/08/02 16:51 38,951 NETMDUSB.sys Directory of C:\Program Files\Sony\Personal Audio Driver 17/09/02 14:23 1,864 LAM1USB.inf 13/04/04 13:58 1,007 MEMPAUSB.inf 30/10/02 14:27 1,408 MS70DUSB.inf 01/04/03 20:33 1,995 NETMD031.inf 01/03/05 13:55 3,308 NETMD033.inf 15/01/03 13:50 3,167 NETMDUSB.INF 21/01/02 11:12 1,385 SonyMSUS.inf 09/04/04 13:43 1,004 SonyNWUS.inf 11 File(s) 125,640 bytes 0 Dir(s) 31,966,797,824 bytes free

Sony MD Walkman MZ-E900 Pictorial
Richard replied to Ishiyoshi's topic in Product Reviews/Pictorials
My blue E900 arrived today (as new!) - intial impressions are good. I won't bother to post any pictures as Ishii has already done a fantastic job. The one thing that didn't come across from these photos is just how small this unit really is - very similar to the EH1 (dimensions) and about half the height of an NH-900! -
Excuse me if I'm being really stupid and missing something completely, but isn't PCM the same as lossless? At least for MD devices, you can rip to PCM and transfer to HI-MD.
-
Don't have an RH10, but have other units that have the same remote - RM-MC35ELK; If you press the play mode button on the remote once you will see "1" in the display. This is single track mode. Now if you press and hold the play mode button you will get the arrow for repeat - therefore these 2 together will repeat the single track.
-
Sounds like a defrag may be in order at some point...
-
Can you please try the following: Unplug your unit from the computer.Install the driver located at this pagehttp://www.sonydigital-link.com/DNA/common...p?l=en&v=&m=pad Reboot your machinePlug your unit back in and let it detect the device Let us know how you get on
-
You can install the latest version of Simple Burner from the downloads section yes. This is probably recommended as it is likely more recent than the one on the Sonic Stage 2.0 disc. The main difference being you can transfer CD's to Hi-MD in PCM with the later version. To answer your original question as well - SS3.2 and Simple Burner are separate downloads here where as on the original disc they are both on the same disc.

Ishii is right, I think it is new this quarter as it wasn't in the catalog from a couple of months ago. Anyhow more info is at: http://www.ecat.sony.co.jp/audio/systemste...13762&KM=CMT-M3

Ok sounds good - glad it's working!

Sony MD Walkman MZ-E900 Pictorial
Richard replied to Ishiyoshi's topic in Product Reviews/Pictorials
I agree it really does stand out design-wise amongst the units from that period and certainly holds it's own against some later models too. -
You may also want to defragment your hard-drive before running the optimize in SS. After Defragmenting make sure to reboot the machine before logging back in to SS and running the optimize.

Sony MD Walkman MZ-E900 Pictorial
Richard replied to Ishiyoshi's topic in Product Reviews/Pictorials
I just picked up one of the blue E900 units from eBay mint condition, boxed with all accessories. Looks very nice, will post a few more impressions when it arrives. -
Hi MDAchim, welcome to MDCF! Congrats on the RH10 purchase, the blue is a very nice looking unit indeed.
-
The second one is not the DH10P - it is a concept Hi-MD camera. It records photos on to Hi-MD, but does not play music I think. http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_Hi-MD_Camera_Concept.html
-
Not a lot - they were concept models, I don't think they were ever destined for production.
