It's eighty eight megabytes. *ducks* http://www.minidisc.org/download/

Right - it's still broken, but it's not that high on my priority list to be honest. In fact, the only major thing I have left to do here is update SubTrail a little bit and probably never tweak with anything again [aside from interface/software upgrades]. Not all of you are as keen on the progress we've made since I started here except the few that have been here for a long time. jadeclaw can most certainly understand how much development I've done in regards to speed and popularity. Of course, if anyone has requests or input, I'd love to hear it.

Welcome. :welcome: Are you running anti-virus protection? Firewalls?

Michael_Walker, if you keep crapping on threads you're outta here. 10000 RPM, but it's a high preformance serial ata interface. Here's another sata drive with 16mb! buffer being compared to it: http://www.gamepc.com/labs/view_content.as...ondmax10&page=5 Run some searches, you'll see how amazing it is.

Like mrsoul asked, what version of Sonic Stage are you using?
-
Upgrade to 2.3. The link is within the Hi-MD forum and is also linked at the front page at the moment.
-
This doesn't occur with everyone, so please don't assume that it's Sony's fault and this experience is commonplace. This is an isolated incident and does sporadically happen from time to time. I am just trying to help. Perhaps you could try uninstalling via the NetMD faq, install Sonicstage 1.5 and then install 2.3 on top of that?

Okay, it took less than three minutes to convert Bjork's entire Medulla CD to 256kbps ATRAC3plus and save to hard drive. Uhm, awesome? I'm still weary of the transfer to Hi-MD part, so I guess I'll test that when I get the unit. Don't be surprised if I split these slightly off topic replies into a new thread, btw. edit: Seriously listening to Hi-SP for the first time via Darth Beyers and it's not too bad. Muted in some ranges, it feels, but extremely adequate for portable use.

Of course it's the write head, but CPU bottleneck does exist in certain scenarios. I am genuinely interested in seeing how well this "100x" preforms on a nForce3 250GB Asus board with a gig of native 2-2-2-5 DDR400 for Sonicstage to handle, as well as the conversion time. I guess I could go check the conversion time thing now.. Another thing I am curious about..what if I had a WD Raptor hard drive? I wonder what Sonicstage would be like.

Yeah well, I lost alot of respect for them. When I recieve the unit I will then be posting about my girlfriend's experience. So far, it's been absurd, and I may even promote them less in the future.

Welcome to the forums! :welcome: I think that we should inquire about the songs first - what kind of bitrate are these tracks?
-
Welcome. :welcome: Do you have Sonicstage 2.# installed?
-
Welcome to the forums. :welcome: Here are the options for Hi-MD: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?p=32073 Anyway, the short answer is yes, you can upload faster than realtime the recordings you make with the unit. You can then use either Sony's software or Marcnet's software to convert the recording to *.wav, allowing you to edit it with any program you wish. I don't have experience with uploading, yet, but I will very soon. It seems to be a relatively easy process with a few slight shortcomings, but I would honestly say that it is worth your time. No Mac support btw, but the *.wavs can be manipulated by relevant Mac software, of course.

This might have to do with this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/887811

I didn't get a black unit, Audiocubes never had one - it was all a sham. I ended up getting a silver.
-
Welcome. :welcome: That's a very old Car MD unit! http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_MDX-U1.html Anyway, did you record the songs in SP mode? This model cannot use LP2/LP4.
-
She doesn't use MD anymore. :rasp2: And we'll see about the 45 minutes to fill up a disc business when I get my NH900 with a REAL computer.
-
computer software indicates units is not connected
Christopher replied to haggisbasher's topic in Minidisc
Welcome. :welcome: So, you're using a version of Sonicstage 2.#? The unit is not connected to a USB hub as well, right? -
How to upload Net MD to PC please help?
Christopher replied to lootmaker001's topic in Live Recording
Welcome. :welcome: You must've missed the sticky at the top of this forum: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=7073 Anyway, Hi-MD allows you to upload faster than realtime recordings you've made with a Hi-MD unit, but not recordings you've made in the past with a non Hi-MD unit. -
Selling Sony RM-MC37LT radio tuner remote
Christopher replied to star_craft83686's topic in Classifieds
Seems logical; would deliver a better experience. I sold a MZ-R700 with an aftermarket RM-MC12ELK remote, accessories and more and only made like $125 off it a few years ago, which I thought was absurd. Don't expect the world from a non Hi-MD unit on eBay these days, I reckon. -
Yes, Team NH900 has some new inductees..good to see that we're all excited and such. We just need more pics! I know we all probably have the silver unit that we've all seen a million times in other various places, but it's always keen to see IRL shots. Whilst I am excited about my NH900 World Tourist edition arriving, I won't forget the crap experience we had with Audiocubes to get it. Blegh Tiesto, I look forward to your impressions.
-
Very nice, mine is coming steadfast in the mail [hopefully] as well. So, what're your thoughts?
-
Uhm, it doesn't come with that..
-
Sounds great, I googled it and found this: Very nice, and I imagine it's quite the conversation starter.. p.s. My girl has had a very displeasing experience with Audiocubes that I cannot believe whilst obtaining a NH900 world tourist edition [$400]. Bluntly, it's changed my view of the company quite a bit. :elitist:
-
Yeah, it only costs $1,500. My girlfriend would kill me. Look at the I/O on that thing, jesus.
