  1. Nope, but recording in SP [which most people do] can nuke a battery pretty quickly..
  2. You did the registry edits and uninstalled everything and then installed the software again? If you uninstalled exactly the way it states in the NetMD faq and install it again you should be fine. I'll see what else I can dig up, otherwise..
  3. Welcome, Reactive! You have a nice site and business there..
  4. You missed something alright; it's called the Sharp IM-DR420 and will most likely be the best canidate for your needs. http://minidisc.org/part_Sharp_IM-DR400+DR...R410+DR420.html
  5. Hahaha, how'd I miss this post? brilliant picture. Thanks for giving the community this good piece of information, and welcome to the forums.
  6. If you don't get any other recommendations, try uninstalling via the directions in the NetMD FAQ [registry edits and all] and installing again. Make sure you reboot after you install it again!
  7. Welcome. You cannot convert regular MD's into MD data discs. For the cheapest price, I would suggest you consult Froogle [froogle.google.com]. You should be able to find the lowest price that way..
  8. Welcome. Please go to the NetMD forum and follow the uninstall directions in the NetMD faq [registry edits and all]. Then re-install your version of Sonicstage or download the new Sonicstage 2 [much better than Sonicstage 1.5].
  9. Please look at the NetMD faq found in the NetMD forum. Follow the uninstall directions [registry edits and all] and try your luck with Sonicstage 2 instead..
  10. I believe the Sharp DR480 will be the best buy out of that trio, that is if you don't want NetMD. Will transferring tracks via the computer [i.e. *.mp3's and such] be the main focus of your experience? You need to be a little more specific as to what you'll be doing with the unit. Also, please look at our equipment browser listings for these units: MZ-N1: http://minidisc.org/part_Sony_MZ-N1.html MZ-N10: http://minidisc.org/part_Sony_MZ-N10.html MD-DR480: http://minidisc.org/part_Sharp_MD-DR470+DR480+DR7.html After you read that come forth with your questions..
  11. Kevin, I believe you should purchase the NH900 instead, but if money is no true hassle then just go for the NH1. http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=4223 I merged them [best..mod..ever].
  12. I wish I knew the answer to your question as well, because I employ a Sharp SD-NX10 and I'm still using the stock speakers. Our systems are extremely similiar, so whatever you end up buying [and hopefully being content with] I shall purchase as well. Take a look over at head-fi.org for me, eh?
  13. Check this store for MD goodies from Japan: http://www.audiocubes.com/index.php?cPath=71_75 I would also recommend the DR420, though..definitely an excellent recording unit that wouldn't fail to impress. Welcome, both of you.
  14. Good question. E-mail the webmaster [whom was being interviewed] about it and he'll tell you. md-webmaster at minidisc dot org.
  15. I can't answer your questions, but I know well enough that this post is so informative it should be made a sticky. Thank you for your contributions, guys..
  16. Use the headphone jack. You will need a male-to-male stereo cable for transfer and a program to facilitate the recording. Please search for more information on this, as it's been discussed many times in the past.
  17. What thing? Hi-MD? The NH600D is already out. Otherwise, the rest of the units will be available in July.
  18. There is no possible way to do this other than line/headphone out on your MD to the mic/line in on your computer, or digitally with a deck/bookshelf with optical out and a soundcard with digital in. A "drag and drop" interface [somewhat] will be available with Hi-MD units.
  19. Hello Kevin, and welcome to the forums. Please read over our Equipment browser for more information about these two units, and then I will answer any additional questions you might have - also, please look at our search feature, as we've discussed the differences in the past, I believe. Relevant equipment browser listing: http://minidisc.org/himd_table.html p.s. Moving this to the relevant forum..
  20. Just wait till Sony buys out Apple. You KNOW it's going to happen in our lifetime(s).
  21. Then the only thing I can recommend is that you take it to a repair centre or get a replacement unit. What did you think we'd recommend? :rasp:
  22. If you do install anything, make sure that you uninstall anything that was there prior [via the uninstall directions in the NetMD faq] and then installing Sonicstage only. Make sure it's Sonicstage 2, anything less is a royal pain.
  23. Does it always cut off at a certain time? Try recording with an AC adapter, if you didn't already. If this occurs with an AC adapter then there's probably something wrong with the unit itself.
  24. If you installed Sonicstage 2 over a previous installation of OpenMG/SS, please uninstall it via the directions in the NetMD faq [registry edits and all] and install Sonicstage 2 only. Get back to me after that. ..and welcome.
  25. I believe that this is impossible. Apparently the DRM limits it to the disc you're burning it to, and I believe you don't have real access to all of the tracks - just one large archive file. Like I said though, this file is crippled by DRM and is probably only limited to that disc. I don't know much about this, maybe you should PM the people who own Hi-MD units. Predalien, I'm sure you'll be content with the higher-bitrate ATRAC3plus encodings; just convert the files in question to that and you'll be ok.
