It's a common problem, do not use the deck any more, it will randomly erase discs. Thee is a small ribbon going to the record head and it has broken, probably not worth the cost of repairing. TTFN Bob

Hi There, pretty impressive stuff, second is much more "musical", first much more "adventerous." I had a lot of fun is the sixties and seventies fooling around with found sounds and tape delays (running one tape recorder into another,sort of what Robert Fripp morphed into Frippertronics). Wonder wher I'd be if I ever tried marketing it,. If you want i can send you a disc of some commecial Musique Concrete that I've picked up along the way, but if it was me I'd go more along what you showed in your first cut, and try soundshaping and reconstructing. All you need is a normal 6 V adapter that will fit into the charging cradle, Radio Shack or Future shop should have them. If you really want to go with a step up device, try a travel shop they usually have stuff for going abroad. Good luck, Bob

There are a lot of people who have never heard a good system, let alone an audiophile system, so to them they think that compressed MP3 is what music is all about. Once you have heard a good turntable, tape, or cd, through a quality speaker/amp system, you have a hard time thinking MP3 is quality, it isn't, never was, never will be. MP3 is about saving space, nothing else. What the new generation personal audio is good for is taking a fair amount of music with you, but most are not audiophile, a lot aren't even good, but they are convenient Bob

Hi Walt, Common problem, it's a hardware issue, the wiring to the record head goes bad, possibly a repair shop in your area can fix it, don't put in any more discs. For what the repair mught cost now may be the time for you to get into Hi-MD, some bargains out there. Good luck, Bob
