this thread has the link... rh10 manual

The 35 has two things different from the 33. First, the "k" in elk means it is capable of displaying kanji. The second difference is the 35 has a higher resolution and can display two lines at once but you have to have a unit that will work with the two display line. YamagataCamille did a thorough thread on remotes... review of remotes

Acted as intermediary for a pack of TDK's with her, transaction was prompt and easy.

0 for 3, I can see why you don't want to try ebay again. For the price you have set as your max. you aren't going to find a seller except for ebay or an equivalent. Even the most basic lcd remote, 11el, doesn't retail online for less than 35.00 usd; and that is coming from China so shipping is another 15.00 usd.

I use realplayer's atrac3 353 kbps.

netmd tracks will not transfer to computer via usb, only recordings made on hi-md. The info in Sonicstage regarding unlimited uploads to pc only refers to hi-md.

Great, glad to read an English language manual for the finer points. Copied and printed...

so how do you remove track marks?

I wish I could find a stocking cap with ear-holes, that would be perfect for winter use with the 66's. This year I don't have to wear a suit as I'm now teaching at night-school; neither teachers nor students have to wear a uniform but our huku-kocho sensei can't relax enough to spend a weekday without a tie. I haven't heard of Koizumi's winter biz wardrobe. I have taken a break from reading the newspaper; the news from America was too often about war and the news in Japan was too often about embezzlement. I miss the days when ore-ore phone calls were the headlines. likewise, nice to chat again...

how to get track name and disc name to show on display
bland10000 replied to bland10000's topic in Minidisc
Yep, that did it, thanks again. I've never titled using SS before, it is nice 'cause I add the artist. -
how to get track name and disc name to show on display
bland10000 replied to bland10000's topic in Minidisc
I want to avoid creating groups. I put a second song on the disc and the same thing happened, a folder was created. I got into the disc via SS and then opened the folder and clicked on the song. I right clicked and moved the song up a level. This did the trick but I want to avoid having to do this for the rest of the disc. -
I looked at those units in person this evening at my local Yodobashi and I like everything about them; the size, the battery life, and the colors...pink for me and a spare one in blue. Mikami, will you continue to use the 38el remote with this unit or switch it for a 40elk? Also, where does the spare battery pack go; on the side like the rh10 or on the bottom like every other unit?

I purchased an rh10 this evening and made my first line-in recording. I plugged the recorder into simple-burner so I could name the disc and track. I did that but when I checked the unit display after unplugging from the computer the track name and title did not appear when the song was playing. I played around in the option menu with "display" and now the song title shows up as a folder. How do I get songs I have titled in simple-burner to show up as song titles rather than folders?

Nor would I expect a sales-clerk to know much about a format they may not have used before.

I don't have any to sell because I just buy what I think I will use. If there is something in particular you want, let me know and I'll keep an eye out. BTW, haven't seen any 2002 sp bit clubs anywhere here for over a year. Of the "cool designs" still available at stores in Shinjuku and Akihabara, axia's select your style and tdk's flower mix.

It will depend upon the listener. If you ask this question at a minidisc forum, you will receive the answer that md sounds better. If you ask this at a forum for the mp3 player you are looking at, you will receive the answer that the mp3 player sounds better. Will you be doing any recording? This is the benefit of minidisc. You can plug into a stereo, a tv, or use a mic to make a quality live recording.

I'm the one who said three volts, unfortunately there is no embarrassed smilie to post. I'm looking at the manual courtesy minidisc.org's equipment browser and I see the picture that says "in 6v" so my apologies on that.

Let's come up with a name for the ATRAC3plus 352kbps bit rate.
bland10000 replied to Syrius's topic in Minidisc
I like "Randall". I'm tired of all the numbers and letters, I want something that is easy to remember like a name. The higher the bit rate, the higher the name begins in the alphabet. 48 kbps can be Andy, 64 kbps can be Deloris, etc... -
What do you look for in earbuds/headphones?
bland10000 replied to WaywardTraveller's topic in 'phones
Here in Japan, the electronic shops such as Yamada denki, Ishimaru denki, Bic Camera, and Yodobashi Camera have earbuds and headphones available for testing. The problem with this is the 'phones are plugged into a music outlet supplied by the store that plays music they choose not me. To test out 'phones I prefer to listen to something I am familiar with. The 'phones that are used for testing are just that, test models so no need to worry about buying a pair with someones elses gunk on 'em. -
Kenwood and Victor (JVC) release player-only MDLP units.
bland10000 replied to Christopher's topic in News
Saw the v55 today; the center panel is not a display. It is a clear chip with three lines etched in saying "clear digital amplifier". I was disappointed because I was hoping that it was a display. -
According to a post of his at t-board, he callled minidisco.com and got the two pink 74 HK's he was looking for.

The hd-5 reminds me of the handheld electronic football games made by Mattel in the late 70's and early 80's. I like the look of the 3000, just wish it had a better name. If I knew for sure that atrac files stored via RealPlayer could be transfered and played on it, I'd get one. Unfortunately contacting RPsupport has proven to be worthless since they aren't aware of a new walkman player.

what is in my signature and a 480 deck in storage stateside.

Kenwood and Victor (JVC) release player-only MDLP units.
bland10000 replied to Christopher's topic in News
I was hoping "end of October" meant the last 10 days of the month but these units are still not in the retail stores.
