the best thing you can craig is follow the instructions here http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=8071 to the letter please, including the windows update bits. if you have any other problems please post your full system specs & detail. you'll find sonicstage 3.x far better, more stable than openMG. it even tends to work occasionally.

they sure do take a shotgun approach to model development. then they hardly advertise them.
-
anont please keep a civil tounge on your keyboard. if you wan't any help or even to discuss anything on this forum a modicum of restraint & courtesy is required. furthermore there are posting rules in place in this forum.
-
should work for you. if not you can also try www.ebay.com.au & minidisc.com.au for quick cheap shipping to nz from across the tasman

won't upset sound forge i can tell you that. simple burner 2 hosted here at mdcf does the cd->md directly & is a small download.
-
that would be an N520 btw, not a N250 which doesn't exist.
-
uninstall it via the directions in the sticky at the top of the software support forum, please follow all the steps. the cyberlink thing is unlikely to be a culprit, i was just giving my opinion on it as software.
-
they sure do chew up the batteries, perhaps rechargables would be an option

cyberlink is a crappy dvd playback program, imo you'd do better just using WMP & manually intsalled up to date codecs. have you run windows update? there may be some wmp, .net ot database updates you require. also try doing a full unistall of ss, & i mean full registry & all & reinstalling after a reboot the latest version of SS, 3.1 can't hurt anything but your bamdwidth

And specifically about the HiMD one: - do I need drivers to use them as storage devices? - could I use standard (74 or 80 Min) discs and put files on them, or this functionality is limited to HiMD discs ? - how much music could be put on 1GB disc when I want LP2 quality ? 1/ nope, not on systems that use UMS so windows98se up, macs & most linux 2/ yes you can use 'old' discs, as standard disc or reformat them to himd & the capacity is doubled 3/um, heaps. there are some faqs on the front page. make sure it's nh600 not nh600D & you'll be able to record from radio, cd & other inputs aswell.

unless you're using the connect store there's no reason not to update to asia/pacific SS3.1 willykyu. or you could update to SS3 via US connect & point it at the euro connect store - have a look around the software forum here

& according to the bitty at the bottom it's staff member jadeclaw's birthday too, happy birthday buddy.

itunes isn't all flowers & light itself, it crashes my otherwise stable amd2.4ghz 1gig ram everytime i load it. other friends of mine find songs imported into itunes just disappear off the hard drive, even if they've been ripped via another program. for me, unless you use a mac itunes is not worth the crap when free ware like ehpod cut through the drm anyway. YMMV of course
-
you could try reading the stickies. or even using the search function at the top of the page, that'll bring up a lot of threads with answers to your question.

kris said that himds sold more than ipods over the christmas period, where was that the uk? this reflects imo, the imporvment in himd over netmd but also the market penetration of the ipod - lees may have been bought because the porspective market already owns one.
-
try ebay. please refrain from offering porn as a medium of exchange, paypal might serve your purpose better on this occasion. being banned may hurt your credibilty also. try here for details http://www.minidisc.org/equipment_browser.html
-
blame the french. rename salty fried potato snacks ear-volume-reduction-fries, that'll show 'em.
-
try www.minidisc.com.au even though sefu's in australia au$4.95 each will still save you money with shipping to europe or the u.s.

Mz-r50 Not Playing Discs Recorded Elsewhere
atrain replied to trapezium's topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
i'd say they're recording in an LP format. have a look at the equip. browser & faqs on the main page for more info & model comparisons. www.minidisc.org -
i sing the praises of the big no.s in refault. olive holds no apeal for me.
-
aparently there will be a special version of beatjam, part of the sonicstage/mora family of software. it may be mac compatible, however that may be a translation mistake.
-
i don't own a vaio, not really interested in an over priced for the features notebook. an external drive has everything i might want.
-
