  1. Z is there any indication of pricing? if they come down in proportion to the overseas prices i'll applaude & pull out my wallet. if they continue with a similar price scheme i'll be less than impressed for sure. all prices relative to australian markets, direct comparisons to US prices are, as discussed earlier, silly in our market.
  2. i think perhaps Reflex can make up her own mind. please refrain from directly criticising other's suggestions due to your opinion silva. your best option Reflex is to put a WTB [wanted to buy] notice for included buds [e808,828, 931] here, on minidisc tstation & headfi. many people don't uses included buds & have a few sets just lying around.
  3. talk to one of the techs or teachers & see if they do any educational user packages that you can buy or use at home. many unis do this, would be so much cheaper.
  4. i think you mean the big magnet things? they're to reduce electrical interference. just take them off, shouldn't be a problem for you.
  5. 1/ they do playback & even record in netmd modes via sonicstage 2/ never going to happen. 3/ you can do both of these. 4/ aside from SP all other modes are supported. false or netmd SP [lp2@132kbs] will playback in your older gear. 5/ ipods don't do this. i agree SS could be a lot better.
  6. sound forge does atrac also
  7. or for english rob use this link www.connect-europe.com
  8. i guess hello kitty, pingu & miffy aren't kawaii? or this http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_MZ-E610.html anyway doing something from an economic perspective using wrong figures spoils your argument.
  9. not trying to be rude but you can get a silver one new on amazon for US$124. perhaps you are aiming too high?
  10. using 3.1 is the minimum for support here at these forums. however this to me sounds like the DRM is by another program.
  11. heed bananatree's warning but you seem to be on the right track. just make sure you've imported the music into the format you want [LP2@132kbs]
  12. thought so. flickering & poor screen refresh are usually a sign of aftermarket windows skins.
  13. i'm missing you're point, it is a netmd & as yet there are no sharp himds, let alone one with the specs of a dr580. please explain.
  14. don't know where you're shopping, try $4.95 http://www.minidisc.com.au/product_info.ph...1a02b5643e86da4

  20. nice work you two. other mods are good, but you two are right on the game atm. seems to menot just is the no. of users up but some of them are sticking 'round a bit.
  21. you are just running a standard install of windows XP, it's not skinned is it? it may well be that your video card is too old to support the software. when you said you deactivated animations you mean the windows ones in the system->advanced section of the control panel?
  22. www.minidisc.com.au have them pretty cheap. pm sefu here, he runs it.
  23. sound like it's got a grounding problem if it goes away when you're touching it.
  24. it'd still be easier to record md digi out to soundcard digi in. anyway kaineda is it deffo an RC-30? & does it have the optical out?
  25. the best way to do it is to install the drivers with the md unplugged then reboot the pc into windows then plug the md in. most usb devices used to be installed like that.
