  1. sorry, the only real option is to transfer the audio via real time to a software based sound recorder. please have a read of the stickies/faqs at the top of this forum & try searching via the 'search' function at the top of the page as this topic has been covered inumerable times.
  2. thanks for what you've allready added to this thread, twice. hope you stick around, even as a contributer to the O/T side or even just lurking. diverse opinions are good, grounded knowledge is far better.
  3. love a gumstick. low profile is more important to me, especially if there is a AA adapter. it's not like i bang it against stuff to try & damage the AA connector

your best hope is a whole lotta time, an optical in on your soundcard & a copy of audigy, soundforge or total recorder. of coures netmd & even himd will playback you discs
  5. ^ USB mass storage works on the mac & most linux distros, thus making it far more likely the data mode is just the standard allready on himds. after all if they brought out mac support for audio transferring i'd doubt it would be so under the radar .
  6. by transferring to the disc as mass storage they will not play on the recorder. they will be data only. all sound music be put on via sonicstage or simple burner
  7. thanks for the advice, you are correct this has been noted previously.
  8. i do agree with you up to a point sefu, i did pay $789 for my mzn1. i have been pushing your price on himds for a while, it'd work out cheaper for US buyers to purchase from you shipping included. not that they tend to listen. i also noted that bluetin's [a singapore estore] pricing on the hdd nw series has been well above your own, even before postage. however comparisions with new US pricing leaves australian prices looking exeedingly high. whilst some pricing variables like smaller market so greater cost of support & higher taxes & duties make up part of the gap, US$29 for ex71sl vs AU$95 don't hold water for me. this is not any relflection on yourself & your store, more on the pricing regeime set for australians.
  9. i think you should take a look at the stickied topics at the top of the software & support forum. a proper uninstall & reinstall up to sonicstage v3.0 should fix the problems. could you also please post your system specifications inc. operating system details. updating to SP2 if you are a windows XP user could prove benificial too.
  10. damage. i would like to thank you for the detailed & consistent aproach to informing peeps, including me. any IRL pics?
  11. new photo of me, atrain being drunk.
  12. this is why i import when ever i can. the costs of freight & japanese or us prices is still around 60-70% of local. the best bricks & mortar in australia is easily jbhifi for price matching & discounts.
  13. happy to stand corrected. thanks for the tips kyle
  14. have you got much free space on the hard drive? if you've got the cash bung in some more ram. not a specific solution but never, ever hurts.
  15. sonic stage encrypts the files with a key that's specific to the installation when you do the back up i think it sends it to a central server, when you roll out the back up the key would be registered to the new install & the old one, if it still exists would be de-authorised. if you are keeping the library on computer A you'll need to reimport them for computer B, two [or more] copies are what this scheme will prevent. the best solution is to keep them in wav, mp3 or lossless codec & import as needed rather than all at once. the small extra time when transferring would easily be recouped if you did lose all your rights.
  16. sorry mate. o/t are you a hammer? anyway sonicstage has been rebranded as connect. the connect music-store download is actually sonicstage 3.0[uS]
  17. you can. http://musicstore.connect.com/mb_us/IESignup.flow
  18. as i said before. anecdotal evidence from retailers support this, aparently 1st gen himd just didn't sell. the pricing is just too high here. the guy who posted this originally works at sony australia
  19. i'd say so musicbringer. i can use 3.0 with my mzn1
  20. $us353 converted from japanese street price. what the actual prices for end users in the US, Europe & Australia actually are, who knows? lets hope they continue to delflate the prices of new units to compeditive prices, as with the new nw series, new himd pricing.
  21. are you connected to the internet when you restore the backup kevin?
  22. lame. & not the mp3 kind. kinda cute though. guess i'm also lame.
  23. works fine for me. try redownloading, extracting to desktop folder & running from there rather than from the zip
  24. if only you'd get rid of the mac zombie, then you'd be a productive member of the community again. hehe. how much did you pay for degrassi jnr high? easily the best canadian show i've ever watched. where would you be purchasing from? future shop has a pretty crappy range on it's website, ebay perhaps?
