    Use Md As Storage

still uses sonicstage 'openMG modules' & only works with netmd devices
  3. wild rumour & speculation rather than report

    Nh1 Vs. Nh900

admin kurisu uses his nh900 with the 40k remote to good effect. purchase from ebay or an etailer if it's too expensive btw, you should shave quite a bit more of the price - a seller on ebay called wac does a brisk & cheap trade in them iirc
  5. try pressing cancel when the drive is being checked. for me when i used that method it then worked. do consider that with SS3.0 most if not all of the benifits of the nero-to-simple-burner are included in the main software, ie. no check out limits, better tag support, less if any errors in mp3 importation & cd text support.
  6. if ss & connect continue to be as close as the snake to the staff of cadueceus then the connect part would be good for the misguided mac users amongst us, a stand alone module, like that of the mp3 transfer tool would be what i expect however.
  7. thanks bland, you posted the first one while i was still 'creating' - any sightings of the 2nd gen yet?
  8. the RRP was significantly reduced in australia last week, about $100-150 across the board & nobody pays RRP, right [JB hifi]? it'll still be cheaper to buy in japan but take local warranty into account, costs for non local sony repair can be horrific in australia. anyway you should be able to get an aus delivered one fr about au$530 at JB & they were about 40,000+ yen or about au$480 perhaps someone in tokyo could quote bic camera price? also consider if you have no other mds buying it in advance will give you a chance to create discs for the trip. one other thing this & this will be on the street by the time you get there http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_MZ-RH10.html http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_MZ-RH910.html
  9. & when they've jumped through every hoop & made every suggestion posible the 'portable' is the size of a vcr. i think everyone's seen that episode of the simpsons where homer built a car... what i wish for is ease of use combined with the current features. stuff like user intuitive software & gui, easy problem diagnosis, continuing adoption of cutting edge technology [within these parameters eg. OLED improving screen & batt life]. chasing the tail of a market leader by poorly copying features for no reason is the major portable strategy atm, the dell dj is a good example, md is a niche format, the best i feel we can hope for is to remain a viable niche, esp in the live recording & collectable media camps.
  10. how's it run? i found connect's browser to be slow & kinda bloated for no aparent reason given what it was displaying. so any faster on a non sony website? how does it show up on the site stats? some ie version i 'spose but 'users browsing with connect 1.3%' would be cool
  11. ther is no limit with pc -> md unless the music is purchased from an online store with user limitations. unless you've recorded the music yourself you can't go the other way.
  12. in the western world new sony 'psyc' low end stuff, i forget the model #s.
  13. but you get to be pretentious in a 'hey i study design' educated way. probably goes with the stroking the chin while you smoke a pipe thing you've got going on. i half expected the pipe to materialize as something you love. also i like the new move with the weblog.

    Mz-n10 Problem

update your software using the 'connect player' from www.connect.com aprox 30mg. then have a look at the stickies in the software & support section before asking anymore questions. http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showforum=62 welcome btw
  15. fair enough. i was going to report you wish there was something i could do to help, however my skills are more of a nuisance in this instance.
  16. it's not just euro issue units, take a look through the awesome range of boomboxes & see how many of them were ever released outside japan.
  17. curse your educated ears!
  18. ohh. the person in the left of the left photo is my friend jen, an australian girl living in tokyo. i won't tell her you said that if you don't. hehe.
  19. you could try not posting the question twice. furthermore update your copy of sonicstage to 3.0 & state your system specs. what was the source of music or is it all music? does it occur on another md or the same disc rerecorded? what is the bitrate we are talking about?
  20. nope. just use the atrac3 LP2 @132 or use an apropriate mp3 bitrate - perhaps 160?
  21. the software's got nothing to do with universal mass storage. it works on all UMS supporting platforms - ie. windows 98se & up, mac OS since 8[?], most linux distros even beos. my only quibble would be the speed but i see it as an added bonus not a primary sales point.
  22. you're lucky nis, a homely man like you spawning such a cutie... anyway here are some of my friends & girlfriend [dark hair, 2nd photo], that's me in both pics [celtic jersey & big hair]. pics courtesy of my wall, hosting by me!
  23. haha, hahaaaa sony support! what a joker. but i digress, i'm thinking less than 5% of users here would have had a decent answer from the sony's official support. they're just people putting your problems into a database too. i'd like to think that it's md forums which compile & solve most of the software errors, again & again.
