    Copy MD to MD

If recorded in Hi-MD mode and you have SS3.4 you should be able to upload it to your computer and back to another disc. That would be the fastest way.
  2. Cool Rayzray! Nothing like turning a hobby into cold hard cash.
  3. Creative's player had a function to insert a 2 second blank space between tracks. This would force the unit to add a track mark. I know there was a similar plugin for Winamp. The problem is that computer hardware does not strictly adhere to redbook standards (or whatever they call it.) Look for winamps plugin "Pause Between Songs 2.3". There might be a different one but that is what comes up in minidisc.org FAQ.
  4. Yes, you can adjust the levels on the remote, this is with the NHF800.
  5. Just make sure you check your devices for the amperage draw. Make sure the universal adapter is rated to handle at least the highest amp drawing device and you will be okay. I do have to add that I don't like universal adapters becuase it is to easy to forget to change the voltage and fry one of your devices.
  6. But why would she be able to transfer in Simple Burner?
  7. Nope, it won't provide enough voltage and probably damage the charger.
  8. Did you record it in Hi-MD mode? The JB930 cannot play Hi-MD mode recorded discs.
  9. yeah, but most of the new members don't post.
  10. I am afraid I am going to sit this one out Ray. I still have to get you the other "remix" plus I am looking at the MD around the world project over at the T-Board. I will finally have some time on Monday to sit down at get everything finalized. Expect something from me soon.
  11. Sonic Stage is like that. DRM in the version you are using was limited to transferring a certain amount of times. At least I don't remember which version took that "feature" off but I think 2.1 still had it. Your best bet will be to upgrade to SS3.4 because sony removed the majority of the DRM restrictions that caused the problems you are experiencing now.
  12. No. I have the GP charger. It has a switch to change between gumsticks (1400mAh) and AA's. It also has a slightly larger well that the gumsticks fit into.
  13. Yes. I tried that about 20 years ago (literally) when I bought my first portable CD player. My cheapy portable home stereo did not have any line inputs so I used this method for a while.
  14. So, am I right in assuming the Audigy 2 supports SCMS but is buggy?
  15. DRM woes are what you are having right now. I can appreciate where you are comming from and I usually don't upgrade if everything is working. In your case, I would upgrade because it is not working. Version 2.1 has the restrictions (like mrsoul mentions) and may be the cause of your problems. 3.4 removes those restrictions and adds more bit-rates that you can play with.
  16. Gmail allows access to your account via Outlook/OE also. No account/age requirements.
  17. Most definitly upgrade. You will get rid of a lot of DRM woes.
  18. Okay. What version of Sonic Stage are you using?
  19. I am thinking about the synching client not the email client. In my case Hotsync. My version only supports email synchronization with Outlook. I like to leave a copy on my machine for backup purposes until not needed.
  20. The other thing could be that you reached the max limit for the song title character storage. I can't remember what the limit is (10,000 characters??) but it is possible you may have reached it if you have particulary long titles. You can also reach the limit faster if you are recording at lower bit-rates because with more room you just fill it with more songs, reaching that character limit a lot sooner.
  21. You probably scratched off some of the magnetic surface so it is pretty much trash now. Just record it to your PC and save what you can now. If it is too far gone then it is too far gone I am afraid. One question. How in the world did it get scratched? Did you take off the metal shutter?
  22. Greg: You sure do seem to buy a lot of blank DVD media. I am still on the starter 25 pack that came with my DVD recorder last year.
  23. There has been some debate on whether line-outs on some portables are true line outs. Unless the unit has a dedicated line out port, it is genrally agreed that the pseudo line outs (like on my R900) merely boost the volume to max and flatten the EQ settings. I can't prove it but that has been the general concensus. With that said, I have a deck and Hi-MD portable. I use them for totally different purposes so I can't really compare the two. For a home system I prefer to use a deck. It is just better for me. I find accessing controls and menu's on a deck when recording a lot easier than accessing a portable menu system. So, I guess for me it comes down to ergonomics and comfort when in the home environment.
  24. Well, I guess it is not the PDA but the software I use to sync with. Does anyone know of Palm compatible synching software that works with Thunderbird?
