Delirium - Chimera with Tiesto - Just Be in queue.
-
That's what I always thought they were for. Maybe the person that had noises while recording with an RH10 and the AC adapter could benifit from using these RF clamps? I can't remember who it was but I know their was a thread on here not to long ago.

I don't have my 600D anymore but I know the search function was there. I am more inclined to beleive there is a hardware failure somewhere.
-
That's not right. I think you may have a defective unit or remote.
-
It looks like the jury is still out when it comes to Hi-SP hardware encoding vs. software encoding.
-
I don't know if this still applies to Hi-SP but it is probable. The problem you mention is actually referring to 292 kbps (SP mode). Transfering 292 kbps via USB is really 132 kbps with filler to play as 292 kbps. Recording via optical @ 292 kbps is true 292 or "true" SP mode. It is generally agreed that you will get better quality from optical in because the hardware is doing the encoding at true 292 kbps. Transferring via USB means software is doing the encoding at a lower bit-rate. To be honest I can't hear the difference between the two (Hi-SP optical or USB Hi-SP transferred tracks.) The difference is noticable between true SP and SP mode transferred via USB (Sonic Stage or Simple Burner).

Mine is officially 7 now.

My disc went out to richyhu on Tuesday. I had a little problem getting it out before then. It should be there in 4-7 days according to the postal clerk. I know richyhu sent my disc last week. I should be getting it sometime this week or next. *crosses fingers*

Are they VBR mp3's? I sometimes have a problem with them.
-
I agree with you Low Volta, in the end it is the user that has to decide what sounds good to them. I don't mind making SP discs of one album only. It is what works for me. There are those people that want volume instead of quality and who am I to say that is wrong? For me, quality has the upper hand.

I am pretty sure the solution above fixed your problem but just wanted to see how it went.
-
I know what it is. Doh! Why did I not think of it sooner. You are using simple menu mode. You need to change it to advanced. On your unit, hold down the menu button, go to option then select Menu Mode, then select advanced. Try it. It should work after you change that setting. I forget about it since that is something I set when I first get a unit and then never change it.

True. Go with what sounds best to you. You are the only one that can judge for yourself.
-
You also hold down the scroll button for two seconds for that first menu to come up. It sounds like you are just pressing the scroll button and letting it go quickly.
-
SP mode, the original legacy ATRAC codec (circa 1992), is 292 kbps. 352 kbps was just introduced with SS 3.3. I still use "true" SP mode since I own legacy gear, namely my deck, Aiwa AM-F80, and E80 player.
-
I use mostly "true" SP (292 kbps) or Hi-SP (256 kbps). The lowest I ever go now is 132 kbps, and that is only if I have to. I do have one Hi-MD recorded at 64 kbps. It does not get listened to as often as my other discs. The sound quality is okay but once you get used to the higher bit rates it is hard to go back down.
-
It is not limited to the RH10 either. It has happened on my R900 too.
-
^^ which would be the procedure I described a few posts up.
-
For that just scroll the wheel and they should come up just like when you turn the scroll wheel on the main unit. Are you sure you are not accidentally pushing the scroll button while scrolling?
-
Amen to that. I did not even know how to search on the 40ELK until about two weeks ago.

KrazyIvan's Panasonic SJ-MJ50 Pictorial

Aiwa? The aiwa I definitely have to use two hands to swap discs. The door does not open as far as I would like but it works great for recording. I especially love the EL backlight screen. But that's for another thread. To be honest I was wondering why you got rid of the Panasonic? What are you going to get now? I just realized I have three of your old units. -

I was wondering if you ever saw this post. I have been enjoying the player exclusively at work. I have even worked out how to eject the disc with one hand! -
hold down the scroll button until the menu comes up scroll to "usefull" then press the scroll button. "Search" appears on the screen. Press the scroll button again and you will have different "search by" options ie "by artist", "by title", "by group" etc.

I don't know if they are the same but the 828's were the only earphones I could use for a while until I found others that worked better. They are okay in a pinch but once you hear better you will soon forget them. (Like I did.)

Happy New Year, even if it is just another number.
