sfbp, avrin.. you guys just fail. I think this topic has been beaten over several times already on mdcf. It's more probably a faulty mainboard. I suggest you take it in for servicing. I've got an N10 with the exact same problem and nothing I've done (all that 32/64bit compatibility, driver zoo, etc) myself will change that. ***** but one thing you should make note: it's been kinda' proven the "driver zoo" causes problems when you juggle multiple units on the computer. Just not pertaining to THIS topic.

Like sector001 said, patience. I just found it odd that you would gradually lower the price as if the entirety of MDCF were trying to lowball you. But given the popularity (or rather unpopularity?) of MD these days, I'm just in awe that you would stoop to such levels quickly.. as if they were the bain of your existence. Or is it you just want the X series that badly? Hmmm.. (btw - ebay is for the birds)

No, the USB cable itself (connected to your computer) isn't sufficient to power the recorder. If you're lucky to find an N10 external battery pack, you can hook the AC to that; I still have my N10.

You can also charge with a battery pack (with ac adapter of course)..
