RH10 and 600D doesn't have similar firmwares. It it works, it will anyway eat batteries...

I have been in contact with Sefu and "It's hectic" - they can fill their time with the National sales for now, not really time for this forum or emails, nor opening packages and removing batteries. Didn't ask about International Sales this time, since I got my units before the "curfiew", but then it was said there were a possibility for resuming International shipping but no guarantee. It has to calm down first before it's time for them to decide, there's also holidays right on the doorstep now.

Maybe Sony Australia has sold a bunch of bundles to Canada? Seems far-fetched, but who knows what Sony will do nowadays...

Line in, but no mic in - but it worked to use my N910 as a pre-amp for the mic. But now I have bought both NH900 and NH1, so recording is more direct that way. The only bad about the European NH600 is the capped volume, you can partly circumvent that by hacking the unit to believe it's from another part of the world, but the maximum output voltage is anyway lower than normal so you will need sensitive earphones if you want it sound loud.

I bought my NH600's in Sweden late this summer when it was a real blow-out sale (USD$50 + $12 VAT). That remote is the MC33EL from my N910, I also have a MC35EL and a MC40ELK, bought from eBay (Rapidelectronics in Australia).

I've never heard of an Euro NH600 without remote port - here's one of my three NH600:
-
The European NH600 has a perfectly wonderful remote slot.
-
Yeah, but for NH1 that's not an option...
-
Yes, that's the only difference when it comes to the actual units, though most European units can be "partly uncapped" (they have both SW and HW capping). An Australian unit doesn't need just a simple socket adapter for use in USA, the charger isn't universal voltage but 230V (no problem for me, we also have 230V here in Sweden). So you need either a transformer or another charger, the latter the better option I think.

...though you should listen to the combination first... It's even more of a problem here in Europe, where the portable devices are capped so they leave out a lower signal than computers and are not even able to drive some computer speakers. I have some flat speakers for when viewing DVD's in hotel rooms while travelling, using my portable PC. A minidisc just barely makes a noticable sound from those speakers...

It's "Really hectic" they say, but I guess the ywill start International orders again after New Year. I got my 20-disc Hi-MD pack sent yesterday, but only because they missed it last time - so Int. orders aren't "really" open yet. -

...so you wouldn't want some of these (copy-protected) discs...? ...or a nice bag like this...? ...or a microphone...? ...or a player like this...? (or everything together in a bundle) -
Is the RM-MC40ELK fully functional with 2nd generation Hi-MD?

bland10000, to whom my answer was, was mixing both generations: -

My NH600 (not NH600D) has a line in and display the folders... -
There's no crack, but why not upload them again? Since SS 3.2 (I think) there's no limit for the number of times you can upload your own recordings.

What would the line-in have to do with it? -

The NH600 was sold here in Sweden a few months ago for $50+$12VAT, that was surely the last seen of that model here... -

It's never too late to give up... -
burn digital recordings from Sony's mz rh10 on cd's possible ?
tommypeters replied to LuckyOne's topic in Minidisc
You should definitely use HiMD-Renderer, since the sound will remain digital. It's the previous poster who has made it... Haven't had use for it myself (yet) but it's recommended here on the forum. http://www.marcnetsystem.co.uk/ -
What is the best Hi-MD model ever made? (so far)
tommypeters replied to Skradgee's topic in Minidisc
If you don't take price/performance ratio (which would give the ultra-cheap NH600 sold here in Sweden a chance) into account it's for me clearly between the three top models NH1, EH1 and RH10. For my use the RH10 is partly wasted, I usually have my MD in a case/bag/pouch and control it from the remote. Then, the EH1 isn't enough smaller to win over the NH1 with its recording capabilities - so the NH1 is the winner for me. -
You don't need to burn it to a "real CD", you could burn it to an image file of a CD and mount that.

In Sweden RH10 cost £136 + 20% VAT...

Right now, I always get the same zip file (and yes, I did report the results, did cut-and-paste the file name, for testing purpose tried the same file a second time which wasn't then accepted due to it being the second time...)
