i got the ho's axias from audiocubes, bit pricey compared to just buying the bog standard ones but mmm lol.

price ? 500 pounds eesh I dont need another recorder really, just a hard drive for audio playing, but hmm, can you upload what you record to a comp? If you could do that then I would be sold on that yamaha, i wonder if sony had done this lol. If they had a cut down version of that, with only the cd copying to hard disk function, then that would also be pretty good, for my purposes. You would have to able to transfer other file types to the hd for playback of course..

I can't stand the translucent ones just because they show scratches up so easily. I plan to put clear labels on my XS-iV's if they are to be used.

Well I am pretty much done buying blanks, unless I come into a huge amount of money and buy loads of cd's. I have about 80 discs, of which some are Sony ES, 10 are TDK ho's, 5 are axia md j'z 'you can get', 4 are standard bit clubs (fire, zebra etc), 4 are sony splash, 8 are TSK XS-iV series.The rest are either sony colour series or verious tdk discs. Since I started getting blanks just for the hell of it, not because I had music to fill them with at the time, I have been using the plainest ones the Sony ES ones, I have about 25 of those, and 'saving' the others. The only ones I have bought that I really liked and which I've recorded on are my Bianca 2004's. Do you guys do the same, or record on them anyway?

it takes 30 second with a dap, here lies my problem As I say, if DRM gets horrific to the point I can't put any illegitimate tracks on my dap, then real time md recording, here I come. In which case, I will wish I had bought into himd for the amount of tracks you can put on a disc. Still, Ive heard quite a few people complaining about write errors etc. hmm.

If they brought out an HDD deck the I would be hooked. I would even go as far as to say I would adios my deck lol Well maybe not, but it would certainly take over centre stage. I suppose the problem as always with hdd seperates and any hard drive based audio player is the possibility of it crashing, but hey thats what extended warranties are for I wish I could buy this, I cant find it anywhere as its now discontinued:( larger pic

In case anyone noticedm there is an option to put copy protection on atrac files. I sent an atrac file to a friend to test what would happen and it let him play the track and all, whether or not it let him transfer it I cant remember. Anyone else tested this>?

I cant justify getting into himd. oh well.

I never care nor listen to what film celebs have to say. They get paid to act, and all I want to watch are the films thanks haha

Yes, ive heard he sold a few of the tdk flower series to people, although I doubt he wants to start doing everyone favours. I wouldnt mind a couple but I am not that desperate to have them really.

For me, the only time that himd would become of any use would be if I needed to record. I've got a standard md portable and an md deck. For my basic needs, those are fine. I have my hd5 for portable use. I wouldnt mind having an nh1 but the writes speed's a killer. When Kurisu gets back from CES we should get to hear some tales of whats to come.

haha, I have never seen md in films, maybe its that I saw the matrix so long ago, that I didnt think OMG look an md.

Sorry but to get a disc that is an average disc, i,e a regular sony colour series, paired with music you hate , for me, that that being hip hop, rap, and rnb,seems a bit pointless to me.

ive got a pair of sony srs-a205 speaker http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B...4060430-9242217 , 5 watts per speaker connected to one of the computers in my house. Not amazing but you could do far worse for their price.

Pug, if you're interested in trading, what music do you have to trade? what music u got dude? I wouldnt really like an md trade with tracks from low bit rate tracks ( 128kb or lower-mp3's onto md) If you can trade with me, we'd be trading regular md, sp mode discs (80 min or 74 as long as its like for like), no lower than 128kb mp3 transfered. Basicly, If its SP it would be best to record it using an MD deck as transfering sp via net md just equates to 'fake' sp. If it's lp2 then all is cool and net md is fine with me. If anyone wants to trade with me drop me a pm.

Im in the uk, up for a standard SP md trade? Ive got stuff like cardigans, cranberries, coldplay, u2 etc
