I'm not sure whether SoS has a MP3 encoder built-in. If not, you have to convert the WAV files (right?) to MP3 with another program. like lame in foobar or something. And THEN import it to SoS's library and you should be able to create a MP3 CD. Please inform yourself if your friend's CD reading program/standalone CD player accepts all aspects of the MP3 standard, you might want to make VBR MP3s which are generally better.

not very wise to choose an e-mail address as user name imho. already have increased spam? -
What? I've seen people talking French here, so why not German for two posts.

I too am currently satisfied with my MD equipment (just won a Sharp MD-DS70 on eBay) but am looking for a CD - for years now. CPC8-5031 - James Horner: Brainstorm Maybe someone can help me?
-
Nope. And I don't know for sure if the RH1 will accept signals higher than 16bit.

This has nothing to do with the mailto: protocol, rather with the differences of your two computers. the file plays normally on your PC?

but blu-spec CD has no higher def than normal CDs. right?

In the case of the devil's advocate i can say that this is the original score by James Newton Howard. I have it in my CD shelf. (want rip/md?) btw: if you got the music from a certain film it's sometimes helpful to take a look at the credits of the film (every snippet has to be named) or at IMDb (under Soundtrack details). regards.

Hehe, I have a japanese Blade Runner Director's Cut LaserDisc hanging around with my picture discs. But it's just for decoration ... I never played a LD. my last movie: 88 minutes. nothing special.

I'm not sure but I think by compressing the HDCD info gets lost, although ... there are HDCD-WMAs since HDCD has been bought my Microsoft ...
-
Bullshit. And in answer to your question: of course they talk about "any component, may it be [...insert here]" not that any MD unit actually has a hdcd equipped chip inside. btw, if you record hdcd encoded cdda-content to hi-md, the hdcd information will be preserved so you can later burn hdcd-cds from that hi-md ...
