  1. Hehe, nice. I have something like this way ... in "midi" format. onkyo md-133 denon dcd-cx3
  2. I carry my EH1 in an old pleather pouch for Sony earbuds. fits perfectly and leaves the buttons free for usage ... and this package then fits into a Case Logic MD case.
  3. Would be nice if you could respond! I'd take ... 1x TDK WA green/frog 80min* 1x TDK M. White 80min* 2x TDK M. 4. yeah, I'm pleased too (had the same probs)
  5. no tips and tricks needed - works like a charm ^^ congrats to the decision, hope you'll not regret it.
  6. Let's enjoy it in better quality regards. nice work btw.
  7. Hm, I'd take everything but the 7 GS-Maxells. Germany? PayPal?
  8. I'm not really certain as I only got the RH1 (had the NH900) but I think SonicStage has evolved to the point where you can convert the Atrac files to WAV files and this allows you to use them in any other program. I remember a time when you had to use a program called hi-md renderer but I think SoS is capable of converting to WAVs now. regards
  9. one word: SACD! but the c-733 is nice too (saw it in black in a local store) ... but having two of the 275 series is quite boring for me!
  10. arrived today ... the md-133's new partner the dcd-cx3 by denon --- made in japan :-D regards
  11. If you're talking about getting your old MDs (made with the Sharp) transferred to the PC -> that's only possible with the RH1 If you want to make new recordings to Hi-MD and then transfer it to your computer -> possible with both, you have to have the SoS 4.2 or 4.3, of course. Keep in mind that SoS will only work on Windows PCs.
  12. ... but maybe it coulds stay in Europe? Germany???!!!
  13. Thanks for the link and your kind offer via PM. I already took a look at Y! auctions but the 2 models I could find had scratches all over them. I'm looking for near mint/VG condition models, even if that makes things harder. btw: I'm not looking for the DS30 but for the DS70. regards
  14. :'( just wanted to ask ... but I bet you find another one!
  15. Hi guys. I'm currently looking around for a Sharp MD-DS70 - i think the last player-only MD unit made by Sharp. Of course this search might take a while, so I thought why not sweeten the time with some chit-chat about the color variations of this nice unit. As it seems (at least some of the rare photos suggest) there are the following ... black - with some sparkle in it? silver - brushed? red - ? white - kinda plain? Who of you has one of these models and wants to contribute some info (or just correcting mine) about the colors of it? And are the surfaces the same with its recording bro' IM-DR80/IM-DR580? And of course: Anyone who wants to sell the DS70??? Regards.
  16. The same happens when you put a MDLP disc into a SP-only unit. they call it "stamp". in the case of hi-md the inventors just built that feature into the standard I think.
  17. Well, I never wrote a full-fledged review but all I can say is: these cans rock. They have a tight bass, realistic treble and an overall warm, sweet sound. I'm currently listening with them (my first half hour). Ok, they're small and you cannot expect them to sound like a K1000 or something. But they give you an intimate, involving experience. Isolation is close to zero but unless you don't live in some megacity you can easily take them on the streets with you - just like the ESW9s. Not suited for bikers - you get ugly wind noise. ^^
  18. In the year this thread was started I bought my first MD portable (Sharp MD-MT180H). I was 19/20 years old at that time. I'm now 26 years old.
  19. One can order it from headamp.com but after waiting so long I'd recommend buying it used (from head-fi for example).
  20. headphones (ordered 2 weeks ago) cartridge (ordered today) headphone amplifier (ordered since ages) turntable (will order today) phono pre-amp (to be ordered this week or next) But that's enough for now!!!!!
  21. bluetin.com (japan) just added the EH70 to its webstore ...
