Your player is from '98, you have to look for a player/recorder built after 2000. Like this model here: http://minidisc.org/part_Sony_MZ-E900.html or NEWER! The feature to look for is "MDLP"
-
Of course they sound the same!
-
Guessing: superior to RH10 same as RH1 because: HD digital amp. regards.
-
me too *drool*
-
yes, these rules depend on the v. of SS. Better upgrade or try to find an option to switch it of. Transferring with RH1 should work WITH write-protection. Try it.

I think you got me wrong. First, There is no real NetMD-SP mode because the SP data you transfer to MD via your PC is in fact LP2, it will be playable on non-MDLP-units but is in fact transcoded LP2. Second, I meant, you should import the music to SonicStage and convert it before doing the transfer to MD, because that's the point where the gaps happen IIRC. So, import music into SS and convert it to the designated format (LP2). And THEN transfer it to your MD unit. Of course, real-time SP ftw!

you really think monsieur obama and his vice will make a difference? well, you're wrong.
-
interesting read, did someone compare the EU, american and japanese rh1 versions here on this forum? or can someone verify this in any way?
-
Isn't it a software limitation removable via firmware hack? You also said, you love the NH3D's sound ... which other Hi-MD first-generation top-of-the-line models did you hear? (EH1? NH1?) rgrds
-
Oh my ... You're right! What a shame! How embarrassing! sry!
-
Oh! If that's true I'm very sorry!!! (Whole world crumbles down) ;-) So you can say: every Hi-MD player has the hd amp. But why did they leave it out of the RH10?
-
Had that problem too (years ago) maybe you should try to convert the files to LP or whatever BEFORE transferring. I'm not sure if that was the solution or if there was ever a solution - normally I'm recording in real-time. (You know that the NetMD-SP is not true SP?!) regards
-
No, the EH50 and EH70 will be a downgrade soundwise, because of the missing HD digital amp. For a player-only unit with HD digital amp go for ... (in descending order) 1st generation: MZ-EH1 (lovin it! warning: RARE) MZ-NH3D (downloader) 2nd generation (supressed mp3 playback): MZ-EH930 (RH10's player-only brother with better sound) [Highly recommended to go for guitarfixer's one] MZ-DH10P (warning: high battery consumption and thick) rgrds How much? Am also interested!

cleared the question that was written here before by myself. BTW: Does anyone know where I could get the german version of SS4.2???
-
thx but no . . . have to get offers in the next 2 weeks.
-
Anyone having a red DH10 for sale?
-
simply not true, sorry!
-
Wow, didn't know the AT-822 is THAT cheap outside europe!!! Might get me one of those!

Well, sounds like it's the battery. The NH900 uses Ni-MH which age faster than Li-Ion, especially when not used.

Hat Trick For MDCF? - Service Mode + 2nd Gen Hi-MD
sinus replied to Christopher's topic in Essential Hi-MD info/FAQ's.
Hi! and congrats to your purchase and your return to MD! ^^ The only model displaying album art is the Hi-MD audio/photo unit DH10P (2nd generation Hi-MD) but it's a downloader only, so: no input whatsoever. (But you can make photos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) ;-) you can get it at bluetin. btw: the HD digital amp really is a step forward in terms of sound quality. I HATED my E10 with its standard digital amp. rgrds edit-PS: There is also a SonyStyle exclusive red version of the DH10P but it might be expensive (at ebay et al.) -
omg, how embarrasing!!! :-[
-
sony mdr-cd5000 or sennheiser hd650? ^^

rude? Did I miss something?
