  1. LoL A440, you are right on the money, as usual. Check this out (scroll to post #7): N10 won't record Btw, THANKS for the headphone suggestions!
  2. Pretty, isn't it? Theblueraja will soon have TWO of those beauties!
  3. Happy birthday, cthulu! Good luck with eBay and that N1 stuff (I replied to your PM).
  4. Is your N505 hacked? I'm a remote person and have been using a 33EL with my hacked N505, but no button problems. You are not alone though. old N505 thread
  5. I'm not saying you'll have a problem with the basic functions of the RH1. I was pointing this out to you: "Furthermore the English version of SonicStage (version 3.4.02.14020) that you need to take full advantage of the features of the RH1 is still not available via Sony Support sites. I had to get my version via my contacts @ Sony...But unless you can read Japanese it will be quite tough to use..." FULL advantage are the keywords. I've gotten by with no English manual for my NH3D as well and I have friends who can read/write in Japanese (so you'll want to find those instead of "speakers" - many people can speak it, but are not necessarily able to read it). So, I have no doubt you will "get by." But, my (missed) point was, to take full advantage of the RH1's features, as MDfreak said, you'll probably need the version he's talking about. Don't get in defensive mode as richyu/MDfreak made comments simply because these are just some things you will/may encounter when you take delivery of your unit. Just a heads up, that's all. (Don't feel the need to reply because I won't be returning to this thread.)
  6. Lol, no offense, but you really need to re-read richyu and MDfreak's comments.
  7. Hope this thread helps: What are the clips/clamps for? Congrats on your (first) new MD unit!
  8. That would be a neat drive-thru! This commercial makes the N510 look cool and it's not one of my favorite looking ones at all. Thanks for sharing.
  9. If it is the NHF800, then you've got a Hi-MD recorder with both an optical-in and mic-in. A good all-around machine. Also, the radio function will be controlled by the remote, not the unit itself, and you can't record from the radio on any of Sony's radio-capable units (learned this one over at T-Board). Enjoy your new gadget whatever it may be.
  10. Wow. All of that make it sound like getting a Japanese RH1 (at this moment before that SS version comes out) a pain, especially if you don't know well-informed people (like you and richyu) or know what to do. It seems like English-only speakers are better off waiting if they want the RH1's full effect or they can flounder and tinker around with the RH1 until things are truly figured out.
  11. ^ Lol, I put that originally, but edited it out as I'm sure there are "kids" on this board or people who'd find it inappropriate.

    RH10 in colors

He's got over 2400 positive feedbacks (all buyers) and no negatives. I'd say he's pretty reputable, eh? And some forum members have purchased from him, which is why he is recommended.
  13. Coldplay - The Blue Room EP [import] 1. Bigger Stronger 2. Don't Panic 3. See You Soon 4. High Speed 5. Such A Rush
  14. Ivan, cute discs. I got the DVD, Crash, director's cut.
  15. I've heard this one before and it's nasty. She's so sexy that if (edited), you'd eat it. Edit: Now that I look at it again, should this thread even be on this forum?
  16. lol Looks like an accidental double post.
  17. There are a few eBay sellers (not sure of your location, but these US sellers also ship international) that have the NH700 in "blue" or silver, brand-new in box, for US$125 including shipping (if you're US; I don't know about international). If you participate in their auctions, you can get it for a little less than that. Edit: And if you want to "upgrade," they also sell the NHF800 and NH900, new in box.

    Hi-MD

Wow, MDX. Very well said. It bursts a lot of RH1 bubbles, but I think people would be hard-pressed to disagree with those points. I think I'm even more impressed with the fact that this is coming from a person like you, who we all know isn't an Apple fan (lol).
  19. If you held it down, wouldn't it fast forward through the song you're listening to? Or no?
  20. Oops, sorry. After watching that first one (way too long), I figured the videos were all that length and didn't watch them.
  21. chico75pi from T-Board posted up these 3 commercials: chico75pi's CM finds (scroll to the last 3 posts of that thread)
  22. But, my point (which you've missed yet again) is your original statement that the "NHF800 remote only works in the NHF800" is false due to new info (actually, it's not that new) by a forum member. Basically, it seems like radio remotes can be overlapped among different models while retaining all their function, not just 90%. So, the upcoming news by richyu/MDfreak about the 40ELK + RH1 looks promising for those who do want to use a nice 40ELK with their RH1. Keep in mind, not every Hi-MD user will be using the RH1 as a field recorder.
  23. It has also been reported (by doomlordis) that the radio remotes, 37lt and 39lt, work with an NH800 (radio Hi-MD unit) and will give radio function to an NH700 (non-radio MD unit). Edit: MiniDisc Aussie states the non-Hi-MD NHF810 also uses 39lt. So, you never know with these Sony remotes. It's good that people like doomlordis, richyu, and MDfreak are able to do some first-hand testing of remotes.
  24. Easy there, Jumpy. You really didn't have to look up tax/conversion info and do the math (but btw, taxes slightly differ per US state). I'm not interested at all in buying the RH1, but I stated that pre-order price in case any people in the USA are interested. It was in no way being compared to your "pre-order," which is why I made it a Side Note. So don't worry; no one is trying to steal your thunder. Edit: And no ill will towards this post topic as I did say "it's cool."
  25. That's cool you'll get it earlier than Europe will. But, I thought the "pre-order" was for 2. Side note for non-UKers: Kaotic posted that the RH1 pre-order for the USA is $299 + ~$9 for shipping at The Sound Professionals.
