Yes I can vouch for the Tigger , she is just as crazy as she says ( More actually)
-
I looked at the other pics , it looks like a crack in the face or scratch in the last one . also quite a bit of wear on the unit is visible in the other pics . Just consider those things in the pricing . It would be nice to know how many hours the RH10 has on it .

I have the K420's and like them very much . The shorter cable is perfect for remotes , so it doesnt get in the way at all . Very comfortable , great detail in the audio. The lower impedance makes them easy to drive with MD , so even at low volume the bass is clean and tight . The highs are crispy but not Harsh , very airy . Great phones. The 450's though have the "Leatherette " Padding on the cans , and if you sweat that will get irritating I would think , I do like the Detachable cable , that is very cool . http://www.akg.com/personal/K_420,pcatid,6...,_psmand,1.html

Ok , WHO GOT IT , ended 12Th May (Yesterday) what a deal . Wiz was that you ?

Best ----->>> You have got to be kidding . Sony MZ-R50 was the most durable MD ever made , most are still going , any R50 owner will tell you that theirs has been faithful in some very ugly situations . Mine is still going my other one lasted until last year , The R50 was released in .... When ? look it up then tell me about the 831 . I have had several Sharps , and the discs they will NOT play my R50 will , have a MT770 that I gave my Kid . and someone gave him some discs in SP mode from their home system . they wouldnt even load , Threw it in the R50 , Bam instant readout , and play perfectly . so we had to use this combo R50 Line out to the MT770 recording to a Blank , just so he could listen to the discs . The Best !

http://www.nch.com.au/switch/ Batch conversion for the Paid version , but it doesnt do ATRAC , does everything else though
-
Yeah I saw that , Pretty cool , I am waiting a little to se how that comes along . Looks very promising though.
-
Well Avrin as I had mentioned , the Data Drive gets recognized as an RH1 when you first use the Blank in an RH1 , the RH1 itself embeds a header file with its ID I believe . I tried several other Md's from different units , and only when I used the RH1 the Data Drive would work on the Mac . A couple things to consider .
-
hmmm , This is getting very interesting , I cant wait for a DMG, cased version for the Mac ( I am on Tiger , Macbook Pro C2D ) I would be willing to test it . this is indeed interesting.

I have an old Tascam 246 that gets a better sound than any digital recorder ( and as all you guys know , I have HAD all the digi corders !!!) current rig Tascam 246 Sony MDMX4 Yamaha MD4X Presonus Stereo Blue Tube Mic pre My Home built Mic pre's Yamaha R100 Reverb Kawai R4 ( love that thing ) 2 x Sony 23F3 condenser mics 2 x Sony 23F ( the first series ) with 8 db pab switches , and Low cutoff) Marshal JTM30 Amp Vox Dual OD Tube footpedal preamp That is just for the Multitracking , Master on the Mac or if the mix is good enough, straight to the RH1 ( which can still be mastered on the Mac) -
Well , I dont have Windows , so I cant answer that. But it might , I would ask Bland 1000 that , I think he has one as well . That would be correct , at Least on the Mac that is the way it behaves . but that is of great value , saving the wear and tear on your main unit .

Hey , I tried t reply to your PM , but it siad you werent allowing messages . anyway , I do have Paypal shipping would be about 14 dollars , I will look at the Craigslist and see if there is anything there.
-
Thx for the nod , and I ABOSOTIvely POSOLUTely agree , A HiMd version of the B10 ....... man that would be soo very cool . (USB2.0 and Mac Compatible of course )
-
What I do is use the RH1 to record , then bring the disc home and drop it in the Data Drive , and upload . It works with the Md Transfer software just fine . just make sure to format the disc in an RH1
-
Correction Wiz , I have one , it works fine on my Mac ( after I format the disc in the RH1 ) and it works at USB2.0 when I do so . I tried it with a disc formated in an NH1 and it wouldnt work at all in the Mac , but if I first Format or Use the disc in the RH1 , I can then Upload , Download , DATA , MP3 , WAV whatever . not Lame at ALL ........... I use LAME for MP3 encoding with Audacity !!!!!

Spammer , it i not the best , TOOBLE works best for You tube and it is FREEEEEEE , so get lost !

Mac (iTunes) to Legacy MD via USB/Optical
Strungup replied to bluecrab's topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
The method you describe will not give you track marks, it will send the audio , but track marks require a certain signal spike that will not be in the signal chain . If you record Analogue 1/8->1/8 stereo , the silence between the tracks will trigger the marker in the MD , but when recording optical the Marker in the Md requires the info from the Optical signal . If it isnt there , it wont mark. You will only get audio , and 1 long track ( you can fix it later in the MD itself by putting track marks where they belong ) -
Yes , it records in Stereo , all the MD Multitrackers do , You select the record mode in the system menu . You can use the entire Mixer , and mix down to 2 tracks on a Regular MD , you only nee the DATA MD if your going to multitrack . ( ie , Track 1 , then track 2 , track 3 etc) I have the Sony MDM4x , and the Yamaha as well .

I think I have an extra what will you give me for it ? ( I have 2 EH70's)
-
Syrius,.......... Thats Serious !!! Wish I had the Duckies !! Got 2 EH70's , but would like the 600 very much . I would say that is a good deal .

I would disagree with SFBP , one of the reasons , is that he tends to give advice about Audio , that he doesnt himself understand ........ . Software he might know , but Audio is a different animal . I think the key requirements should be an understanding of the subject that can be verified , and the ability to LISTEN as well . As a Moderator , hearing what is a legitimate issue , and the ability to get both sides of the issue , would be a requirement . As well as Time to devote to the Board . I will decline the offer , although the fact that my name was raised , is greatly appreciated ( makes me feel quite good actually ) . Most of all a basic LOVE for all things MD ....... TC
