So which MD, NetMD or Hi-MD unit has the most updated (best) ATRAC SP codec? I can't help but think the RH1, being the last Hi-MD model probably has the best ATRAC SP codec?

Thanks, but I don't see the instructions on how to enter service mode to modify the memory address. I'm not concerned about losing MP3 playback, i would just like SP recordings.

Hello. I've tried to record in ATRAC SP on my RH10 using the optical/line input but it will not let me select MD mode. I think i read elsewhere that the 2nd generation of Hi-MD units had MD recording mode disabled. How can I enable it? Thanks

For sale is a partially working Sony microphone. It is sold as is. The right microphone works perfectly but the left microphone does not pick up sound properly, it sounds very low or doesn't pick up sound at all. My Hi-MD recorded does show that it picks up some sound, but again, it's very faint. If anyone knows how to fix this or needs this for parts, it's for sale. It has a MUSIC - VOICE switch and also small compartment for battery. The cord is about 3ft. These retail brand new on Sony's website for almost $90. I'm selling this one for $20 shipped.
