The ebay sold listings show that someone bought one of these for $115 shipped. Others sold for less, but with less details and pictures and a high starting bid.

Check craigslist statewide by all the major cities. Many craigslist users are willing to do paypal/shipping. Also, search by different keywords: minidisc, minidisk, mini disc, mini disk, Hi-MD, MD, minidiscs, minidisks, etc. Many craigslist sellers will misspell MiniDisc.

Check your local craigslist. There are plenty of people selling minidisc items for cheap because they don't know what it is or just see it as obsolete electronics. I was able to get 7 standard MDs and 3 1GB Hi-MDs, all for under $25.

I have a couple of rare Sony MiniDisc samplers and they contain many tracks from different artists. On is called Quarter Notes: Summer '94. I've never heard of this sampler. Anyone know what these are worth? I have the original sleeves as well.

Believe it or not, this exact model was once available on ebay for less than $20. A few years ago, one ebay seller unloaded many white and black PSYC MD players. We don't know where they came from.

I have the rare double MiniDisc album by Pink Floyd The Wall. It was made in Austria for the U.S. release. It's complete with box, cases, MiniDiscs and booklets. It's in great condition! Try ebay, but they won't be cheap. Or your local craigslist. Sometimes people sell MD stuff on craigslist really cheap because they just don't need it and want to get rid of it.

Thanks for the info guys, but honestly, I've used AGC when doing CD->MD optical recordings and I don't notice any recording volume adjustment. It seems to record at the same volume of the souce CD. I've only seen AGC on MiniDisc recorders, so I thought it was something that only pertains to MiniDisc. Why do you say that AGC is not recommended for music recordings?

What exactly does the recording feature AGC do in minidisc recorders? Does it adjust the recording volume continuously or does it just record at the same volume of the source? Leaving the recording level at 23 in normal mode seems to just record at the same volume of the source.

Ebay states that auctions that end on Friday or Saturday evenings don't sell as high as listings that end Sun-Thursday evenings. You have to time it right. Also, the user showed no pictures of the unit working or ON. If he put several buyer restrictions, that has an impact as well. This should have sold for $250 or more.

Unfortunately, the winning bidder for the Footloose MiniDisc soundtrack is in a location that I do not ship to. So it's still available if anyone on here wants to buy. It sold for $24.95, but I can take offers.
