I may be completely wrong but I thought the Onkyo's do have a similar feature. I say I may be completely wrong as my Japanese is not so hot and I didn't read the manual in detail but when dubbing CD's to MD, with the DLA-Link Option on, it scans through the cd before recording to do a "Peak Search". I haven't tested this properly but I thought it may be some kind of normalization.

Hi Huw you can definitely record to MD from any source - FM directly on the unit and via any of the other connections. There are 3 analog in connections and one optical in. There is no tape deck in the unit but one of the analog in connections is labelled tape. I sometimes use it to record digital radio via the optical in for example.

The X-B8 is an excellent system for the price - at least I am very happy with mine. The FM tuner is world band so will also work in the UK with the full range of stations. It doesn't support MP3 on Hi-MD and you will indeed need a 100V step down transformer. Overall I think the quality of the components is very high and the speakers are superb. * Moved to Find your Minidisc

I think this has been pretty well documented in other threads, but what the heck.. lol - The European version has a slight (not enough to be noticable in normal use) limit on the output 4.5w instead of 5. The remote is the 38EL which doesn't display Japanese characters, and that's about it. I don't recall if the Euro model also comes with a 1GB blank also.

There is only 1 RH1 model available in Europe and that's the black. The 3rd one in your list. The first 2 models are DH10P and RH10. The CE or EU just means European version.

Has anyone tried the Macally IP-A481 with the RH1?
Richard replied to boojum's topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
Marck from MDCenter NL has written an article about pairing the IP-A481 with the RH1. Unfortunately it is only in Dutch at the moment, but you can check out the pics here: http://www.mdcenter.nl/redirect.php?file=h...macally_ipa481/ -
We currently looking into this issue - apologies and please bear with us

Chris is it me or has the group icon for the moderator group (under the avatars in posts) gone walkabout?

Try downloading and installing the MDAC components from this page: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=en If that still doesn't work you may also need to install the Jet 4.0 SP8 pack from this page: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/results...;DisplayLang=en (choose the version appropriate to your OS)

Also working ok so far for me in FF2.0. Like Chris says - what specific issues are you having?
