  1. Tchaikovsky: The Ballets [box set] As I'm going to see a performance of the Nutcracker on the 23rd, I thought I'd get a bit of preparation in.
  2. Aha - now I'm with it, though still a little puzzled as to why the RH10 would be different. I guess then that the RH910 has the same issue.
  3. Ok, well since we made it on to driving annoyances - if you're dutch and reading this please don't be offended but... 1/ When driving on the motorway (freeway whatever) to slow down, take your foot off the accelarator, do not brake hard when travelling at 120 kmh 2/ Indicator lights - use them before you actually turn the corner. 3/ Green light = go. Try to move off before it has turned red again.
  4. Just remind me here what the issue was as the DH10P works fine (same as 1st gen), and it seems strange that the RH10 is different.
  5. Today I watched Millions - liked this quite a bit and an old classic Twelve Angry Men - great acting, excellent dialogue.
  6. You mean the re-badged NH600? I think it did come out last year, but whether they actually sold any or not is another matter.
  7. Well, I'm a British ex-pat - father is Welsh, mother is English. Having lived in Spain for a year in 97-98 went back to UK and after graduating from university, I moved to Italy for around 6 months, then went back to London in 2000. I joined the company I currently work for in 2001 - based in London initially - then moved to the Dutch office in April 2002. Been here since. Married my Italian wife earlier this year.
  8. What's the sound quality like though? I have a few dvd's I wouldn't mind recording to PCM via coaxial.

    The New Look

I had forgotten about the olive skin. But the new "refault" whilst taking a little while to adjust to is actually pretty nice as far as I'm concerned. I really like the font used for the titles of threads and the usernames.
  10. First: This is normal omgjbox.exe is the main Sonic Stage application. It will take a while to disappear from the list of active tasks as it checks the integrity of the database whilst closing down (after the GUI has been cleared from the screen). How big is your library? Could you give some more info on your page file settings? How many? How big, fixed size (min / max settings) and how much free disk space on the partition where the page file is located?
  11. I agree - this is the most valuable feature for me as well. It is very difficult going back to the stick remotes I have found after using the 40ELK now for a couple of months with all my units.
  12. Bland sorry I didn't manage to reply in time, I didn't get a chance to test it fully with the DH10P until this morning by which time you'd already got one. For what it's worth it works much as it does on the NH1/EH1 (minus the battery info) and also does so on the EH70 from what you say.
  13. This is indeed a major milestone and the rate of growth has been pretty phenomenal over the last year, a reflection not only of all the hard work put in by Chris and the moderating team, but of the interest generated by the contributions of the members themselves. I'm sure we can make it to 50K in 2006.
  14. Works perfectly with the DH10P - the only thing maybe someone with an RH10 could add is whether the recording functions still work - viewing levels, adding trackmarks etc..
  15. It is indeed a Euro variation. The nearest english model is this: http://www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowProduct.act...gory=TVP+LCD+TV It is exactly the same but mine doesn't have the integrated Digital TV Tuner. For the US I think the nearest comparable model is: http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP....ame=specs&var2= The next step is indeed to upgrade the ageing DVD player to something with HDMI out.
  16. Very nice machine Chris, congrats. Bought myself an early Christmas present at the weekend: Sony Bravia LCD Details here
  17. I'll second what Chris says and as has already been mentioned, people only generally write about SS on forums if there is something that doesn't work. If everything is working fine they have got nothing to write about. The silent majority and all that...
  18. I don't own an RH10 so I can only respond to question 2. Via Line-In on this model you can record in PCM, Hi-SP (256), and Hi-LP (64). Other bitrates are only available via computer yes.

    The New Look

Yep, I got it - I just have to get used to it, but for the rest, nice skin

Any chance of moving the "Mark All Forums As Read Link" back to the top-right or at least enlarging the font a little? I keep struggling to find it
  21. Good to see we're back in business - and enjoying the new Refault skin
  22. Good idea, very clear instructions, there seem to have been quite a few questions regarding this both here and at Atrac Life, I think this should make things easier for people.
  23. Is the disc formatted as Hi-MD or NetMD?
