try using another program or updating Sonicstage would help...check these 3 sites below d/l other programs that will allow u to transfer music across to ur MD... [Site 1], [Site 2], [Site 3] hope this helps...

heyy sorry i just logged onto the forum just now...sorry Guest if no one has answered ur post but u do realise that not everyone has time to check the boards so frequently as we may have other things to do during the day...but i appologise for the fact that i couldn't help u earlier when u posted ur first msg...anyway to help u with ur q's i would suggest that u take a look at these sites for both the software and driver to ur NetMD unit... [Site 1], [Site 2], [Site 3] hope this helps...

yep mp3gain is a good program to use to normailize ur songs...
-
they're different to floppy disks coz floppies are magnetic media...MD's are Magneto-Opitc media which needs both heat and a magnetic field for it to change the data...unless enough heat is applied you can't change the magnetic data on those disks...
-
or u can try taking a look here for more info about MD -> PC transfers and how it can be done (by using that program)...
-
i don't think that can be done in SimpleBurner...
-
heyy there, firstly u install the NetMD driver along with SonicStage program from that CD that they gave u with the unit...then once that's done connect the USB cable to the PC and MD unit (should be a small plastic/rubber cover on the side of the NetMD unit which shows u the USB symbol)...the cable goes in one way only so u'll know which way it goes...then basically open up SonicStage and Import the mp3 files that u have into the program then transfer them across to ur MD...that's just the basics of it..try and muck around with the software and if u're really stuck email me and i'll see if i can make a simple pictorial or something for u...
-
yep it can but u need to use a normal 3.5mm stereo cable for this to work...
-
hav noo idea actually...Leland said that it was using a different battery as the N10 and didn't say that it was inbuilt...soo if we're lucky we may have the NH1 having a removeable Li-Ion battery...^^ yay back to the good old days when they used to use Li-Ion batteries on MD's...

hey there, yep it is pretty confusing (more frustrating actually as it takes more clicks on the mouse than needed to do something as simple as transfer music across)...if u don't like this type of interface u could always use OpenMG, SimpleBurner or RealOne Player to transfer music across... openMG is a program that Sony uses to encrypt songs from .mp3 (.wav,.wma etc) to their proprietary ATRAC3 format so that their Network capable units (NetMD's and Network Walkman MS players) can read them...also the MG part stands for MagicGate which is some sort of protection algorithm that deters piracy of music (i.e. u can't copy say a file from ur PC onto an MD or Memory Stick and give it to a friend so that he/she has in on their computer as well)... it depends on how long the song is as well as which mode that u record in...i.e. if u have say an 80min MD then u can record 80min in SP, 160min (2h40min) in LP2 mode and 320min (5h20min) in LP4 mode...i think LP2 can hold around about hmm...40 odd songs (each song approx 4min in length)...and no u don't need to buy a specific type of disc to do this... approx 150mb??? (i think...) is the capacity of a normal MD...but u can't "burn" files onto a MD from computer as the unit u have can only copy audio files (ATRAC3 files) to it only...plus NetMD wasn't meant to be a high capacity storage device...that is the job for the new Hi-MD's... just click on the import button at the top right hand side of SonicStage and go to the folder u want to...

try here, here or here for the programs, and u could probably find the drivers here...hope this helps...

heyy they looks like a nice unit...kinda reminds me of my D100...only it doesn't cost as much... i think it's worth just waiting so u can personally try both of these models out in store or something...
-
i use mainly Nikkor and Canon lenses...i've had the chance of using higher quality lenses made by Leica and Carl Zeiss off a friend who is very into photography and stuff and yeh they're really nice...but outta my budget range as i do it as a hobby and not as a profession...i usually look for the ones that have ED stamping on them...and re ur very 1st post...i've managed to muck around with the Canon Rebel camera in store and damn does it take nice pics...highly recommended for the price...

WTB: portable recorder with optical in and slot in feature
mAjEsTiC replied to a topic in Classifieds
nope nothing recent...i think they're the only models that had the unique slot in mechanism...very old unit the MS722...i have one lying around but it's gone bust.... -
check ur other post here...

u press (or twist if ur using the 11EL remote) and hold the |<< key until u can hear it rewinding...then let go at a place where u want it to resume playing...
-
have u tried converting them to say a .wav file and converting them then transfering over???
-
u could also try looking at Norman Koren's site for tutorials etc as well as Steve's Digicams for reviews...
-
cameras? did u mean something like digital cameras or just cameras in general??? well in terms of digital cameras i haven't exactly been that quick off the block to get one...my first model was a Canon IXUS (first gen) followed by the Sony DSC-P5 and the Nikon D100...

from what i've gathered the NH1 and NH900 are similar models with the NH900 using a removeable gumstick NiMH battery as oppose to the internal Li-Ion used in the NH1...if it were similar to the trend seen with the N910 and the N10 units currently available then the only differences are the way it is powered and aesthetic features...compared to the N10 i really wouldn't have a clue as i haven't got an NH1 yet (but i will buy it once it comes out) and until then i can't really do a comparative review of both these units...if u can afford to spend $600 Canadian u can afford the best...i would suggest that u wait a while until these units come out as they do offer more benefits than that of the N10 (i.e. bigger file and music storage, ability to u/l music from MD -> PC + apparently the ability to charge the battery via USB??? <- i only heard about this from my fwend and i hav'n confirmed it as yet...)
-
looks interesting...kinda reminds me of my EX71's...i haven't tried them as yet but i would bet that they sound good...
-
try converting the files to a .wav then try transfering again or just use a different program to transfer across...
-
this is on the RM-MC11EL remote...
-
i dunno which specific buds u were referring to..the only one that i have tried are the ones that came bundled with my DS8 and they're pretty good...if u were talking about those ones that cover ur ears (like Sony and Panasonic's Clip Ons) then i would expect them to be pretty good as they make use of a bigger driver...

the N10 is a nice recorder but i do prefer my N1 because of its sound quality as well as the Gumstick battery...but i like to change my units ever so often because i want to know the difference between the newer units and that of the old... regarding ur 2nd q's i have not purchased the optional PC Link for the C5 as i don't think it would've done much in terms of recording time...since this unit didn't support NetMD in the first place the PC Link that was available would have just made a connection to the PC so it made titling and recording a little easier...but it is still done via real-time (if i remembered correctly)...i like it it's a nice unit...but there are a few ppl in Aus that would have had this unit...^^ and yes the blue light looks cool in the dark... yep the Onkyo was an very old unit and i'm surprised i managed to score one from Japan...out of the models from Panasonic and Aiwa i would probably say that the MR100/MJ70 and AM-F70 had really good sound....
