Please go to the NetMD forums and read the NetMD faq. Follow the uninstall directions and get back to me with the results.

Well, the main reason I linked it is because we've created a meeting place for terrorists to network with each other and build alliances. Previously, Al-Zarqawi and bin Laden + co. were always at arms length; never supported each other, never spoke to each other and never liked each other. Now, Al-Zarqawi, with $25 million price on his head and his organization, is seeking whomever and whatever he can find to support him before he's annihilated by the "coalition". So mch for the link? It's still another piece of ammunition that will be fruitless in taking Bush down [unfortunately]. Like it or not, Bush will probably be in office again. You know this to be true.

Welcome to the forums. Is this the backlit remote, or the standard non-LCD one?
-
I agree with Jeff. You can get a better-featured model [probably used] for probably the same amount that it would cost to fix the unit. Welcome to the forums, btw.
-
Yes, I would either recommend either: http://www.minidisc.com.au/ [an official Australia e-tailer for such products and great folk ] or http://www.bluetin.com ..as recommended above.

Powerful. Al-Zarqawi group claims allegiance to bin Laden.

What would be the ideal Hi-MD stereo deck? (My thoughts)

Re-read the feature list. It does everything you've mentioned, and much much more. Not too sure about SS compatibility, though. :whatever: The Hifidelio comes out in November. I'm buying one. -

That remote, the RM-MZ4R, didn't feature such functionality.

Welcome to the forums. A little information on your name: Lok, a planet in the Star Wars galaxy, is a planet that is rich in resources and was a major battlefield during the Clone Wars. Additionally, it is ruled by a crimelord leader named Nym. I spend quite a bit of time there in the game Star Wars Galaxies. Anyway, I want you to uninstall via the directions in the NetMD faq again. That means getting rid of all Real products, all OpenMG, SS, etc. Do exactly what the uninstall says and then download the installer from connect.com.

What's your maximum budget in AUS currency for a unit?

Urgh, you didn't back up anything before you deleted everything? Err..

How to properly reinstall NetMD: WARNING: If you use a Sony VAIO with preinstalled software provided by Sony or use other software developed by Sony, do not follow the procedure below. 1. Uninstall all OpenMG related software via the Add/Remove Programs control panel and reboot as necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, OpenMG 2.2, related 'Limited Patches' and the 'Secure Module', SonicStage 1.x/2.x, Simple Burner 1.x/2.x, and software by RealNetworks. Make sure that you unplug your unit before doing so. 2. If you run Windows XP/Windows 2000 Professional, proceed to delete the following directories: "Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataSony Corporation", "Program FilesCommon FilesSony Shared", "Program FilesSony". 3. Start -> Run -> regedit. The 'Registry Editor' utility should appear on your screen. Delete the references to OpenMG located under 'HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareSony Corporation' and 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareSony Corporation' by right-clicking on the entries. 4. Disabling any anti-virus software that is running in the background to free up some resources [if necessary]. Update your installation of Windows at Microsoft Windows Update (windowsupdate.microsoft.com). For Windows 2000 Professional users, you are recommended to upgrade to Service Pack 3 or later. Make sure that your unit is disconnected and install the latest build of SonicStage 2.x from Sony Connect/Sony Connect Europe. The drivers for Sony units will automaticaly be installed. (If you use a Panasonic or Sharp Hi-MD/NetMD unit, install your drivers before you install the actual software!) Restart if prompted to do so; if not, it is still recommended that you do so. Plug in your unit, and start SonicStage 2.x.

The hold button isn't on in the remote or unit, is it? :rasp:

The Hifidelio: With the ability to accept Hi-MD's, of course. [feature list of this AMAZING unit, here.] -
We already draw 30% of minidisc.org's 10 million hits per month. I'm not worried about the numbers, as the average for most forums that are associated with websites is 10%. We're already indexed on Google, anyways.

Took these with my T610 camera phone just a few minutes ago.

Welcome to the forums! I'm not that knowledgeable about live recording stuff, but I can definitely help you with your unit decision.. Honestly, I would recommend the NH700 or the NH900. The NHF800 has a radio, and is a pretty functional unit, but not really relevant in this situation..unless you'd find the need for such. What's your maximum budget for the unit alone? I can link you to a trustworthy e-tailer that sells the NH900 for $239 us.

KJ, check out marcnet's utility and ask him any questions if you're having issues. Anyway, I'd love to contribute but I don't have a portable recorder at the moment.. -
I'm pretty sure that it will convert it to LP2. Oy, I get a headache thinking of all that ATRAC converting.
-
If you're into recording live, get a Hi-MD unit. If you're only interested in mp3/etc playback, get an iPod or iPod Mini. Welcome to the forums.
-
I understand why you wouldn't do what he did/etc, but what would you do?
-
Welcome to the forums; I like your avatar. Anyway, try upgrading to Sonicstage 2.2 for me at connect.com.
