Try this: How to properly reinstall NetMD: WARNING: If you use a Sony VAIO with preinstalled software provided by Sony or use other software developed by Sony, do not follow the procedure below. 1. Uninstall all OpenMG related software via the Add/Remove Programs control panel and reboot as necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, OpenMG 2.2, related 'Limited Patches' and the 'Secure Module', SonicStage 1.x/2.x, Simple Burner 1.x/2.x, and software by RealNetworks. Make sure that you unplug your unit before doing so. 2. If you run Windows XP/Windows 2000 Professional, proceed to delete the following directories: "Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataSony Corporation", "Program FilesCommon FilesSony Shared", "Program FilesSony". 3. Start -> Run -> regedit. The 'Registry Editor' utility should appear on your screen. Delete the references to OpenMG located under 'HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareSony Corporation' and 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareSony Corporation' by right-clicking on the entries. 4. Disabling any anti-virus software that is running in the background to free up some resources [if necessary]. Update your installation of Windows at Microsoft Windows Update (windowsupdate.microsoft.com). For Windows 2000 Professional users, you are recommended to upgrade to Service Pack 3 or later. Make sure that your unit is disconnected and install the latest build of SonicStage 2.x from Sony Connect/Sony Connect Europe. The drivers for Sony units will automaticaly be installed. (If you use a Panasonic or Sharp Hi-MD/NetMD unit, install your drivers before you install the actual software!) Restart if prompted to do so; if not, it is still recommended that you do so. Plug in your unit, and start SonicStage 2.x. OR: A Windows Hotfix (KB840987) conflicts with Omgjbox.exe - if you are experiencing problems and do not need the functionality of the Hotfix, rollback the fix.

Welcome to the forums. Download Sonicstage 2.2 from connect.com, and then uninstall Sonicstage but NOT the OpenMG parts.

Hi mate, this is already on the front page of minidisc.org. Suitable for posting, nonetheless I guess but we'll still get the redundant questions.

Moving to the correct forum..

Batteries NH-10WM, NH-14WM, and charger BC-7HT
Christopher replied to Hugo's topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
Hey mate, I don't know how I missed this. Anyway, it's safe to use the charger with that battery, but I don't suggest using the battery. You'll have better functionality and life with the NH-14WM, depending on the mAh. -
Not at all. In fact, submit it to the webmaster and it'll probably get put on the front page of the site.

Welcome to the forums. Please reinstall via the directions found in the NetMD faq, please.

It's worth a shot.

Remember guys, there's a bloke who's selling a dynamite combo for the NH900: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=6170 If I were to employ such unit, I would probably employ what I've linked as well. I think I'm actually getting a NH900 for Christmas via girlfriend, so looks like it's time to get one of those remotes as well.

I've only been to the airports of Japan. One day, I shall live there but unfortunately I'm bound to eastern endeavors. My main goal is to become filthy rich here, retire young and become a farmer in the Abukuma highlands. Nonetheless, maybe you could help me find out where exactly Sonicstage resides within Mora?

Transfers are fine, but still no sound coming out of my disc
Christopher replied to ticheese's topic in Minidisc
In the future, please do not private message me for personal support. This occurs far too often and I've begun to just ignore them. The answer in my reply was valid, and I will alleviate on such here for future reference: Reinstall via the directions in the NetMD faq. Install the drivers for your unit only, then install Sonicstage 2.1 or 2.2 on top of that. -
Are you using Windows 2000? A Windows 2000 Hotfix (KB840987) conflicts with Omgjbox.exe - if you are experiencing problems and do not need the functionality of the Hotfix, rollback the fix.

Pics here: http://engadget.com/entry/8413288107686276/ Anyways, I think it'll sell a good bit, but I wouldn't suggest it to anyone I know. The PSP is just around the corner and the PS3 isn't too far behind. Those two devices are going to make the PS2 look like a Model-T car. I heard they're moving to Xbox.

Jasr + Lok: Reinstall via the directions found within the NetMD faq [within this forum] and get back to me.

er, you don't need to download Sonicstage from the United States. Uninstall again via the directions in the aforementioned FAQ and then download your regionalized copy from mora.jp. Whereabouts are you located in JP?

Is there anything on the display at all?

Welcome to the forums. Are you using Windows 2000? If so, please uninstall the patch KB840987. If you're not using Windows 2000, please follow the reinstall directions found within the NetMD faq @ the NetMD subforum.
