You know where to get another battery, right?

Syrius: Being a foreigner? How long have you lived in the US?
-
Who's been into it? Who doesn't care? I'm really enjoying the debates, and it's funny to watch Bush struggling to define himself in his whimsical term. I'm definitely voting for Kerry. People who live outside of the US, how do you feel about Bush? What do you know about Kerry?

Welcome to the forums! First off, try the standard rule of troubleshooting: Try something else. Do you have another mic you could test? Even a PC one would suffice.

The guy who offers the deal for the battery and remote is trustworthy; I'm about to buy that package myself... Thanks for clarifying about the remote! p.s. I'm still gonna send you that ac adapter whether you want it or not. I've been incredibly busy as of late, but I will get it to you and then you can send me those good tunes.

Is there a MD with Optical OUT ?
Christopher replied to phonophobie's topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
You can always employ a Hi-MD unit, which can now upload faster than real-time to the computer via usb with marcnet's utility. You can also upload in real-time via usb to the computer as well. Was there a specific need for optical out..? -
Hello! Please uninstall everything via the directions in the NetMD faq [found within this forum].

Did it end up improving?

OPEN MG (Sony Mini Disc Program) keeps malfunctioning!
Christopher replied to psychojen09's topic in Software
Wha? I told him to update to Sonicstage 2.x.. Nice Aqua Teen avatar, btw. -
So is there a resolution in sight, Cor? I'd hate to think that your stuck in this state of transition..I can tell from your tone in this post that you've been through some mental olympics already. I agree about Gunbound; you wouldn't believe how bad Sky and I are obsessed, although he is far worse off than I. I'm not so sure how much I'll be into it now that I'm knee deep in the Jump to Lightspeed beta. It's so fun! I created a starship yesterday with parts, tuned the parts, flew the ship and destroyed other ships. After all that, I landed on Tatooine and got a drink in the Mos Eisley cantina. It's rad.

lol, sorry. It should not affect playability. So you have one? That's one killer device..tell us more about how and why you use it?

OPEN MG (Sony Mini Disc Program) keeps malfunctioning!
Christopher replied to psychojen09's topic in Software
Welcome to the forums! Uninstall via the directions in the NetMD faq, found in the NetMD forum. Be sure to up date to Sonicstage 2.# whilst your at it, since it doesn't employ check in/out. Good luck! -
Audiocubes tech support aren't the most knowledgeable of people, but they do offer a great service and I have immense respect for the company. I actually had to e-mail them and correct several large errors in the inital NH900 listing. Anyway, it's clear that you're not going to get a straight answer just yet as apparently no one employs this combo? Odd. I see that you started a thread at the T-Board and didn't get much luck, either. I'll do a little snooping, but it seems like you may end up being the test rat. :rasp:

Christopher replied to dave_bass5's topic in Minidisc
If troubles start occuring again please uninstall via the directions in the NetMD faq. Glad to hear functionality is restored, though. -
Eek, I was looking at MD-View specs. *dolt*

Yes, that seems the most ideal choice.

Hello, and welcome to the forums. I can tell that you've done no searching at all as this issue has been covered thousands of times in this forum. Please try searching in the future before posting questions and such.. Anyway, this unit cannot upload audio to the computer that it's recorded. This type of functionality is only resident to the new MD format called Hi-MD. The only way you can upload these audio tracks is in realtime in an analog scenario via the headphone out on the unit, a male to male stereo cable and a mic in on the computer. You hook the analog cable to the headphone out and the other end of the cable to the mic in and press play on the unit and record on the computer. A program such as Audacity [do a search for it on google.com or such] would be good to facilitate such. Also, you can upload digitally, albeit in realtime, with a MD deck with a digital out and a sound card with digital in.

It should not. Welcome to the forums.

Try uninstalling SS via the directions in the NetMD faq, and also making sure that you have the latest version from connect.com.

Minidisc recovery in portable walkman
Christopher replied to K Silby's topic in Technical, Tips, and Tricks
Any update? Very interesting. -
The wavelength does matter. Hi-MD and MD discs all operate on 780nm, whereas MD-DATA operates on 655nm. Thickness of Substrate, addressing, bit length, and track pitch are all very different on MD-DATA discs as well. Could it be formatted? Possibly, but I doubt that it would even work as the addressing of a MD-DATA disc is Interlaced Wobbling Groove, opposed to the standard Wobbling Groove found on MD/Hi-MD discs.
