  1. Welcome. Something is definitely wrong, and it doesn't seem like it's software related. No harm in getting it checked out, I figure..
  2. Hi, and welcome to the forums. What's your budget? Also, where do you live?
  3. Not true, zero. In fact, we've been over this multiple times in this thread, but I digress.. Hi-MD discs have two sections; data and what is readable on the unit for playback. These sections are completely seperate from one another and the data portion cannot be read on the unit, only through a computer. You can have stuff on both, too.
  4. I've heard other reports that it's at Target as well. Maybe it's in limited areas so they won't put it on the site?
  5. I don't think you made the wrong decision, as you've not even experienced the N10. I would definitely recommend you at least try it for a week or two before changing your mind to Hi-MD. I think that you'll have success with the N10's functionality.. Nonetheless, you can record onto old MD's with a Hi-MD unit in "NetMD" mode, and those discs are playable on non Hi-MD units.
  6. Forum speed is quite tolerable with my recent clean-up, I've noticed. In light of such, I've added a Quick Reply at the end of topics for easier/faster posting ability. p.s. Inverted the forum colors and overall font layout. Please tell me what you think..
  7. Hello, and welcome to the forums. The formatted MD discs will not be able to be played in non Hi-MD equipment. I am going to comment about your N10 situation in the thread you created.
  8. Thank you very much for this little nugget of information [i suggest you also e-mail it to the webmaster]; shame that registration is only available for those who live in the UK, France, or Germany.
  9. Minidiscs are re-writeable up to one million times [supposedly, but no one has spent the time to test that theory out]. Write on it and delete as much as you please. p.s. Welcome to the forums, btw. You too, Verbal.
  10. Welcome to the forums. Please post this question in a seperate and related topic, or make your own topic within this forum. Thanks. p.s. Ryzir, that is very generous of you.
  11. This is what we do know so far: Like Stamp said, we will know more once the unit(s) debut. High-speed uploading is indeed possible, but the ability to edit those files is still a mystery. If nothing more, at least we'll be able to do it in real-time.
  12. Cleaned up some old modifications that I had deleted long ago, but bits and bobs were still around. Forum seems a bit faster now..
  13. I don't believe that size is a real issue, it's bandwidth consumed. When I hosted iceeedtea's version of Sonicstage 2, I went through 7 gigs in a week. I was finally able to get the webmaster of this site to host it, and he now gets hit with about 20 gigs of bandwidth each month for Sonicstage 2 builds. :wacky: p.s. Maybe Bittorrent the *.iso?
  14. Try iceeedtea's build for me. I've never had an issue with it.
  15. Welcome to the forums. Shame you're not using Sonicstage 2. Anyways, sounds like you need to install the Sony UI library. If you have the OpenMG cd, look for a folder called "uilib" and run the setup.exe in it. If not, I can locate it for you.
  16. Welcome to the forums. We no longer support issues with Sonicstage 1.5. Please download Sonicstage 2; links are available in the NetMD section of the forum.
  17. This is definitely sticky material. Thank you very much for your contribution.
  18. Has to be 44hz; if you do not get an answer here please try hydrogenaudio.org.
  19. Moving this to the correct subforum. Maybe you should e-mail Sony and report this error, and they may be able to assist you.
  20. There is absolutely no difference [besides the slight asthetic variation] in these models. And, through listening tests, I have concluded that Kenwood's digital amps are better than a Sharp's. The DMC-S9NET has a Sharp amp, though.
  21. Welcome. Hands down, this site has the best selection of Minidisc blanks, and they're mostly exotics:
  22. jade, thank you for the comparisons; I have no doubt they will be useful for most. Sorry to hear about your woes with Sonicstage - was this with iceeedtea's build?
  23. Welcome, and thanks for the kind words. Read this thread for me, please: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t...ighlight=itunes Also, you may want to try searching next time, too. :rasp:
  24. Moving this to the correct subforum..
  25. The NH600D is the only model not delayed and according to sonystyle.ca, it will be for sale in North America May 27th.
