Is there a possibilty that you can ask the soundman to plug in on the mixer, you lose a touch of "ambience", but end up with a cleaner recording. Just a thought, the other suggestions are all good, but if you want mic recordings try borrowing a couple of different mics and see what happens. Good luck, Bob

I think you are stuck with the battery, you could try taking the battery to a Radio Shack or equivalent, as well as a photography shop, who knows. Don't know if you trust ebay, but supposedly they are there as well. Good luck, Bob

Have you done a defrag, and duplicate file find? You can also go into the directory tree and see if somehow some duplication exists. My total info for 3.4 is about 32 mb. Good luck, use the force maybe!! Bob

Yeah, but when your 2 MB unit need more songs you have to delete and add, with th MD you put in another disc, much simpler. Bob

Sure and you can use a carbon based stick transfer to cellulose based substrate to carry information in, but a Palm Pilot looks neater but for the price of media, MD is still bloody cheap and versatile. Yeah a memory stick addition may be neat, but why not twin md's on one unit?? Bob

Hi There, Your best bet would be the RH1 or a little extra the M200 wihich is the RH1 plus mics, you could get by with pretty much any Hi-MD with a mic jack, but the RH1 is clearly the best. Good luck, and let us know what you choose, and how things work for you. Bob

At audio frequencies an RF choke should have no effects, easy enough to try if you want, make sample recordings with and without the core and see if you can notice a difference, all I can see then accomplishing is shortening the cable a few inches. Reminds me of the audiophiles who used hollow speaker wire because of the "skin effect" of high freuencies!! We are talking of gigahertz frequencies, to use skin effect not 20 khz. Try or don't, I have the prewrapped cab;es and without, haven't noticed any advantage either way Bob
