Patience is a virtue, here, I want to show people my new DS77. What will we ever do when the day comes that the MDCF and T-Board are gone?
-
Can you use this without the assistance of a PC? i.e. make recordings via the mic input. If that doesn't work, it would appear the OWH is cooked or the ribbon connector is broken. Has it erased any discs?

Pics will aid with the sale, enormously.

What about bots? I know the Board is loaded with them. Damned things. -
I don't see how that is possible.

It's simple - you can use MiniDisc gear as long as the units last, the media will stand the test of time. Many of us (including me) have a lot of these devices, so we shouldn't worry for years to come. Maybe the M200 will be a decent seller, who knows?
-
It's not a bad deal on the M200 bundle, as the mic costs a bundle by itself......It seems the M200 is the last of the line, folks.
-
Not to put a fly in your ointment, but the NH700 dos not have on-the-fly recoding adjustments - you said you are doing live shows - you have to PAUSE the unit before you make changes. This is one of the shortcomings of a budget MDR. However, the NH700 is a decently-made recorder and I am glad I got one of these from MiniDisc Access before they all disappear. (I've had mine about a year or so)

Volume hack for MZ-RH1 *PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK*
Superbaldguy replied to littlecx's topic in Minidisc
How about a hack to give us 10 mW, that would be useful. -
Sony rarely gives us an official end-of-product statement, we can see the writing on the wall when stock is hard to find. I noticed that MiniDisco just had the M200's on their Website.........

Contact bland1000, he may still have some new HD5's. I just got one about three weeks ago from him. I can see why you wuld miss this little gem, seems to be a popular targets with thieves.

There is no such thing as a faster 70-200mm lens - f/2.8 is the limit. Besides, isn't that optic big enough as it is? I have yet to jump to the DSLR ship, but the 30D has a lot of features I like. I do not feel EF-S glass is a good investment as Canon may be going all-Full Frame within a couple years, and those EF-S lenses won't work on those models. Who knows, maybe I am wrong.

End Search was dropped a few years ago, thankfully. All new MD units use a jukebox software program and they automatically start recording where the last one stops.

Sadly, you got hosed by a seller over at eBay. Time for some not-so-good feedback. Check the FS forums here and over at the Audio T-Board - there is a regular named Valder who is trying to sell an orange RH10. Here is the thread I was referring to: http://www.audiotstation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33266 You may be better served to get a new RH1; it's about the only new portable MDR you can still buy.
-
Does "powering down" mean removing the battery? The MZ-N1 is known to have issues (expecially the early-run production models) with the ribbon connector to the optical block (recording mechanism) as it often disconnects ; if that's the case, your eBay purchase is stuffed. You can try another disc, but that doesn't seem to be your problem.

I don't understand this thing about a hybrid - Hi-MD units can play back MDLP recordings. The 1G models could record in MDLP modes, too. I don't see the point of creating such a beast. It would be great if Sharp got into the Hi-MD game, but it seems that isn't going to happen.
-
I'm pretty sure the RH910 does not have the on-the-fly recording, and I know my NH700 does not have that handy feature. I think it is only reserved for the high-end units.
-
You can record "on the fly" with the NH1 as you can make adjustments without pressing pause; the build quality on the NH1 is clearly better than the RH910, plus it has the HD amp. If you don't do any live recording, there isn't a drastic difference between the two and the RH910 is a decent value.

Seems to be the price we pay for the much better quality LioN cells over the NiMH gumsticks. At least they are coming down in price - beware of fakes, though.
-
That should work just dandy - I have the N910, R910, and the R909, the pack works on them all and the N920 should be no different. How much does it cost?
-
Let's face it, it's a hard sell for a bling-bling 512 MB player against modern models, no matter how well it's made.
-
Although the EH70 surely performs as well as the EH1, it's just not a classic MDP. j-dawg, how are you doing with offers? Even if the EH1 is a rare classic, the market will only allow a reasonable price since MiniDisc's interest is waning.
-
Sony would charge you for the optical block, the whole assembly that includes the head and lens. I doubt the cost makes it worthwhile, unless you got your N707 for nothing. I'd put your money towards a new Hi-MD recorder - if you can find an NH700, that would be a good choice.
-
It should go without saying, but pics will be very helpful to sell your NH900.

A classic pet peeve is those slowpokes who drive 50 km/h in a 90 km/h zone.
