like that guy who thought 'moltar' was a robot in the other forum because he just macro'ed in the usual response. i enjoyed that one.

yeah it's good but you need the proper styles beans ground very fine. get your parents to take you to abla's in rathdowne st sometime - it's sort of expensive but for the set menu they bring around 8-14 courses finished with homemade turkish delight, baklava & arab coffee. primo for sure. the taste of russian caravan comes from the extra tar & flavours added. originally it was shipped in a resinous brick very similar to hashish, not that anyone would know much about that i'm sure, it came overland to europe via the old silk route through southern russia, hence the name. it has a very smoky dense taste despite being only about 6/10 in strength.

off the top of my head the other weird problem is skinned desktops or odd colour resolutions can cause black screens, unresponsive buttons & other crap like that. sorry not too brilliant this morning... yet

8:00 get up read local paper 'the age' then read guardian & mdcf forums over a pot of russian caravan tea & breakfast. occasionally i'll drink a blend i have made up for me. eat breakfast 9:30 drive g/f to station to go to school or work 10:00-14:00 play computer games & surf net randomly. have wifi so do it from garden if nice, sometimes from bath. 14:30-15:00 go but ingredients for dinner. cook 5 days a week & i have about 30 things i cook on a random rotation. 15:00-17:30 read or play more pc games. i read at least 4 often 6 novels a week. 18:30 eat dinner 19:00-22:30 hang out with the g/f, surf net on laptop while she watches tv, sometimes more reading or pc games then gin goes to bed 22:30-01:00 talk to friends on phone, read whatever. i usually sleep 6 hours at most i've been doing this for about 1&1/2 years but it'll all change this week cause i'm back at school for the first time in three years.

all the net/mdlp stuff in australia comes in carboard boxes of various sizes. can't comment on the himd.

if you go into media player's tools you should be able to dis-associate cds. this will stop the mdeia player autostart that chews up all the resources causing both programs to shit themselves.

have a look for the jens of sweden mp140 released this week, OLED colour display, 1 gb, drag n drop & decent batt life, slightly smaller than an ipod shuffle.
-
my sister's been living in the uk for three years, from sending her stuff all the time my understanding is electronics can incur 27% import duties if not declared. here in australia if the marked/insured value is less than $400 [iirc] then they don't open or charge duties.

more like a mr. t chia pet if have one you don't really know why. if you don't have one you must get one! i guess that would also apply to pet rocks too. i'd still shy away from 132 atrac3 unless the music was unobtainable anywhere else. i mostly [only] use lp2 but i don't want to limit myself like that.

or the full version without connect but requiring registration is in my sig

maybe check the terminals on the battery. have a look in the ,manual to find out where it is. i've never seen anyone else with this problem so maybe if that's no help take it back to the place of purchase or call a sony service centre. good luck & keep us udated.

i have to say i've allways preferred gumstick units, infact i've never owned a AA powered md unit. 1/ formfactor. 2/ longer batt life. you can add the AA adapter to it & get a massive boost to the life. 3/ other features reflecting the gumsticks premium edge. ie. the hd amp, line out, better remotes.
-
do you mind mentioning the price you paid for these? i've seen them from aound us$90-130 online & i'm wondering whether i should buy something like it for when i get around to upgrading my audio gear. i love the design nis. do they come with any extras [bag? case?]?
-
service centres around here charge au$100/hour or part there of. so taking it there in most places would be silly. more importantly henry have you tried any other 1gig discs? how about standard mds? or standard mds formatted to himd?

• Microsoft® Windows® 98 SE, ME, 2000 or XP • Minimum of 500 Mhz processor • Minimum of 400 MB available hard disk space • Minimum of 128 MB RAM • Internet Explorer 5.5 or later • CD-ROM drive (for installation and import or playback from CD) • Supported CD-Recordable drive (for CD burning purposes) • Internet Connection (broadband suggested) strictly speaking you're under the requirments. just to confirm you tried formatting the disk through sonicstage or simple burner?

many people have a fondness for the older units. they feel the construction is more robust, some have stronger amps & the styling is less edgy. let hime enjoy it.
